man, what about post defenders? jon brockman was? pretty good when he got playing time in sacramento. i remember jason collins as well. who else? i'm not talking about shot blockers, i'm talking about the guys that can get down in the post and guard skilled post players like pau gasol in the post with leverage, footwork & positioning, and knowing when to straighten out and stick both arms up to contest the shot

i noticed that a lot of the "shutdown" defenders in the NBA are usually very lanky or tall for their position. bowen, battier, nicolas batum, landry fields, iguodala, tayshaun, paul george, matt barnes, thabo sefolosha, corey brewer, john salmons, josh howard (before he got hurt), brandon rush. what separates lebron is that he's also bulky and so won't get overpowered. ron? artest also sticks out in that regard (while being quicker than he looks)

Smh at all the little kids who think that good defense is just blocks and steals. It's so much more than that, which a lot of people don't get. It's also about denying your man the ball, giving them no space to operate, keeping them out of their sweet spots, and knowing how to help your team defensively overall. Playing defense requires? a sharp mind and tenacity, more than it does just to be a scorer. Lebron is the whole package, that is why he is MVP

The problem with Lebeon is that he can't just dominate? while being the MAN anymore because he has Bosh and Wade! Lebron could average 35 ppg in this watered down NBA is he pleased because he average 30 at age 22 and he's certainly more skilled. He just isn't as aggressive because Wade is equally capable. So when KD and Melo go at Lebron they have more of a green light. Those two dudes can get buckets on anybody but Lebron is still the best SF in the NBA overall.

True, i would have loved to see that, because he would? have had the latteral speed to bother him. He did a great job on P.Gasol a few weeks ago, he could have done a good job on Dirk. (His defense on Gasol is in the related videos, that is if you hadnt seen it)
