Exactly. And if Randle was considered at 32, that is PROOF they drafted BPA at 64. As for Wilson, let's say they had Cordy Glenn ranked higher. Cordy Glenn demonstrated some bad attitude by leaving NY after he was not selected in the first round. Wilson is a vocal leader with incredible balance and? power even for his size. He's actually a larger version of bradshaw. Hosley had 12 interceptions; he's a ball hawk. Reese called Robinson the JPP of TEs. Good enough for me in round 4.

Agreed. Unless Jerry Reese was using figurative language, he explicitly said he was drafting? the BPA... They didn't need a RB or a WR or a CB because they are fully confident in the players that they have without their new draft picks, which goes the same for every single position. They just drafted the BPA at every spot for great depth, it just so happened some of them filled what people consider the "needs" of the Giants.

So if they draft the? BPAs that fit their needs better to win another superbowl rather than the overall BPAs that might not help them achieve this, that is worthy of a C grade? Please. The only thing that's silly is that line of thinking. Your grading system, along with all the other "experts" is about building a fantasy football team. I'm glad none of you are the GM of the Giants.

I didn't say they had a bad draft, I said? they didn't draft for BPA. I know they rank Wilson over Martin - not the point. They picked a running back because of NEED. When there was still Courtney Upshaw, Andre Blanch, Janoris Jenkins, Cordy Glenn, Silatolu, etc. avaiable, they didn't get the best player available. They drafted the BPA that FIT THEIR NEEDS. There's a huge difference. I think every team does it, including mine (who cares?), but don't tell me David Wilson was the BPA at 32. Silly.

I've seen NO analysis elsewhere claiming he can't be an every down back, and the Giants don't need him as an every down back anyway. Ahmad Bradshaw is TWENTY FIVE and signed through the next several years. Bradshaw? couldn't block coming out of Marshall either. Draft grades are nothing more than entertainment for sports fans, because frankly, GMs like Jerry Reese 9 out of 10 times make grades by people who think they know something look completely uninformed. Just ask Mel Kiper.

You say they went into the draft looking for? BPAs, but then you contradict that with the fact that they addressed a lot of needs... I'm not saying you can't draft best available at the same time as filling needs, but The Giants did not get the best available player (or even close) at each of their picks. I count that they reached on 3 of their picks, and it might only be that low because I don't know if their late round picks were reaches or not.

I don't know why everyone is hating on the kirk cousins pick. Fucking skip Bayless says something? stupid and now everybody is agreeing with him? whats bad with having a great backup QB. RG3 has had his history of injuries with tearing his ACL in 09, he's going to get banged up. It's a great thing to have a backup QB to come in and win 1-2 games. Mike Shannahans career as a coach revolves around RG3's career. He's not going to bench him no matter how much pressure. Rg3 is the starter.DONE.

Browns 2012 receiver strategy seems to be "speed kills" Benjamin has mutant speed with his fastest 40 being 4.26. Saffold and Reed, picked up in the undrafted free agent market adds two more who have been timed faster than 4.4. A BIGGER QUESTION MARK THAN BENJAMIN is DL Hughes at 87. Agree McCoy has gotten a bum rap. With the worst receiver corps in the league and a right tackle that was playing on one good leg, he still managed to be 22nd in total yards among QB's, And? the Browns receivers led the league in dropped passes. He's no Aaron Rogers, but he is making more out of his receivers than he is given credit for. That being said, with the Browns getting 3 speedburner WR's in Benjamin, Saffold and Reed (all have timed faster than 4.39) Weeden's big arm is really needed.

McCoy was drafted late to be a project and has turned many heads in doing so...he was a solid backup and was moved to starter early...he's 23 yrs old and weeden is 29...the O-line and receivers were shit and rb's were average ...how bad is colt mccoy? how much do you know about the draft...especially? when weeden was a reach

bengals had one of the best drafts this year. Easily a top 4 draft. Ravens had? a great draft too. Steelers had a good one, not many glamour picks, but their O-line will be solid for years now.

Rieff is a stretch at the #6 spot but the Rams are desparate for Qb protection so I agree with you on that. Cincy should get Trent, but I don't know if they will. But they should. Just imagine Dalton, AJ Green, and Richardson on one team with 10 years in the future to go. I? also think Dallas will get a DB. Yea I know what you mean. If Houston decides to take a good interior D-linemen instead? of a WR in round 1, their D will be the scariest in the whole league in my opinion. If not that, definitely top 3. They might even wait mid-draft to take underrated Josh Chapman from Bama. All the Bama LB's get the hype, but the constant double teams Chapman got was what freed the LB's up from double teams. Kinda like Terrence Cody except Chapman is quicker and more athletic.

Mike Adams and Riley Reiff didn't impress while Cordy Glenn and DeCastro did. And it's too bad Jonathan Martin didn't do the drills. If he did really well, I could have seen passing Reiff. I also thought Chicago might want Konz 1st round, but 18 bench reps drops him to 2nd-3rd round at? best. Zeitler did good though. Dontari Poe was a beast, 44 reps. Good fit for Pittsburgh now that he locked a late round 1 spot in my opinion. But can you imagine Houston's D-line if they get Poe? Crazy.

I take it one step further and say the NFL offseason is more exciting than? the season just because it's so much anticipation and speculation and new information that it's more satisfying to mock draft than to pick games IMO, but yea fleener really let me down but the Stanford pro day is gonna be sick, fleener is the best pro prospect for today's NFL and if he goes to San Fran it's a WRAP

very good stuff i can tell you're really into this stuff. I am too, and? I don't have an answer when people ask me why I care about the NFL draft before the NFL season even ends. In my opinion, I think the whole draft process is almost as awesome as the season itself.
