The line is actually quite beautiful. Remember in the fourth book how Harry doubted whether McGonagall had ever 'let her hair down'? Well, she does here. The war changes her. She isn't quite so restrained anymore. She realizes life is short, and she opens her heart to the? beauty of magic, and the sheer thrill of it. It humanizes McGonagall, I think. It's quite poetic, really.

The sheer power of the scene is amazing, just think of it. It's a coalition of witches and wizards and their last attempt to? defend against the greatest threat they've ever known by invoking an ancient magic set to protect their institution so that their last hope and savior can defeat the greatest villain they've ever fought. Judge me all you want, this is what 'epic' really means.
