I am not gonna lie, as an animator/editor there are codecs specifically and exclusively for MAC IE: APPLE Intermediate etc. Which means I am forced to use one for video encoding. However when I can still upgrade my software/hardware on a PC of the same year as my G5, which can't,? the mac becomes little more than a Downloading/Media conversion station.

Brand huh. Mac vs PC. Macs are terrible because their hardware is linked to their OS. Meaning, if? you want to use a Mac from 2005 toady for anything beyond checking email, you gotta go buy a NEW Mac so you can have the new OS which is supported by Adobe and others. It sounds crazy if you've never owned a mac or if you are a wasteful sucker consumer buying the latest in mac crap. What Hunks of shit, I never want to buy one again.
