Congrats on finding a politician in DC who has lied. If you want a real challenge, find and support one who hasn't lied... there aren't many. I'm against wasteful spending of any sort (including pre-emptive war), but I'm in favor of spending if it leads to domestic economic development, growth, and greater global competitiveness. Our taxation needs to meet 2 objectives: cover our spending, and optimally support upward mobility and self-sufficiency for? the broadest cross-section of people.

Obama has only made the $250K comment over 100 times. He clearly has said, on several occassions that he would not raise taxes on those that make below $250 K. He said this exact phrase last week in a backyard in Iowa.? By the way, taxes will be raised to pay for the $1.47 trillion deficit he created in 2009. Then another $1.3 trillion for 2010. Deficits=tax hikes.
