I got the title of this video from a paper written in 2008 about the social perceptions of people missing front teeth. It's the only paper of it's kind I know about. It's an interesting take on those perception, and vaguely answers that question "what will they think?" PM me your email if you'd like me send it on to you. If I had the time back I wouldn't have waited so long. For the price of a two year old small car? you'd buy a whole lot of peace of mind. Keep me posted, brother.

I know exactly how you feel. My gums are all fucked? for a similar reason. I'm only 33 and i feel like i am just waiting for my teeth to fall out because at least then false teeth wouldn't look so disgusting. It makes me feel dirty and ashamed and it's at the back of your mind all the time. Especially when you meet new people, will they notice, what will they think? it's fucking horrible and very difficult to explain to people .Thanks for sharing and the best of luck with the dentists

Thanks for that. I think the vulnerability was only allowed on the premise that this was not to be shared. But then it just felt right to post it. Vulnerability is the new confidence. In is the? new out. I've never regretted my mistakes, or my past. Or wasted time on what might have been. Yes, he had some very disagreeable political positions. But because of them he made me look deeper at some things, and that's something I really liked about him. Simply disagreeing on something? was never reason enough to judge someone by. He remained friendly and gracious with many of his adversaries. He attacked ideas, not people. So that when he *did* actually dislike someone it was obvious to see. Like with George Galloway. No ambiguity there!

When my niece turned 11 and showed no interest in book or reading I gave her Harry Potter and promised to quit smoking if she finished all seven. She really wanted that and got herself stuck in. I'm not sure how well that one did but I know they made a film out of No Country for Old Men and I know it did pretty well for itself. As for The Stand, I read it about 25 years ago and still remember some characters really well (Trashcan Man was? a fav), I've had the uncut version about 20 years and haven't got round to it. The more I think about it, the more cons I see in that plan. It's a nice short story idea though. The Stand has been suggested to me a thousand times. I'm not sure why I haven't got to it yet. I really enjoy the post-apocalyptic stuff for some reason. I'm not sure if you've read? The Road by Cormac McCarthy but I like to suggest it to people. It's one of my favorites.

@1alienist I'm a point and shoot merchant, any skill is entirely accidental. I sat in the passenger seat and kept the camera on the dashboard held to the windscreen. Nothing more technical than that. It's an old Sony DV camcorder, the kind? with those mini tapes. I'll probably upgrade to a digital one at some point, but I get a kick out of matching old technology to new. There's something nostalgic about the poor quality that I like. I still use VCR's, cassettes and LP's a lot. Oldskool rules!

I don't think we got over 60mph on the motorway and only about 30mph on the smaller roads. It looks like the Keystone Cops, but it was? too sedate to work at normal speed.
