This was so absolutely amazing. I wanted to start singing ONLY biblical hymns, so I came here, I wonder however, is there a reason? why the chorus is used from verse 1? Is this a practice of the time, or is this modern ideas being placed into ancient texts? Would there even be a chorus?

I found this interesting comment in Thayer's Lexicon: The Jews, from an overscrupulous superstition and reverence for the name of God, whenever in the sacred text ???? occurs, read it ???? This is how I see it, an overscrupulous superstition, thus I am reading it as written in my Hebrew videos. Since I am preaching Yeshua, the modern Jews who would be offended by reading ????? instead of ???? will probably be offended by my preaching Yeshua anyway...

I think you have freedom in the Gospel to? reference God by the name he gave the Old Testament believers. Their piety toward of the Divine Name has led them to substitute names for it, since for them it is very holy. Just be sensitive around modern Jews; some may take offense at ????. Don't forget, though, that he has given us his name to New Testament believers in Matt. 28:19-20- "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." That (and "Jesus") is the name we are to call upon in prayer.

Ah, that makes sense. What is your opinion? When I read the Bible aloud in Hebrew as a born again believer, should I do the ???? (Adonai) circumlocution or pronouce the sacred tetragrammaton? I? think the latter is more correct....

I do not think? that the singers themselves are Christian and therefore substitute ???? for ????. Nice name, by the way- "I believe"- from one of my favorite verses, Mark 9:24.

That's great. Hebrew certainly is a beautiful language for singing. I? am curious though why the substitution of ???? for ???? a Jewish convention when Buth is a Christian?
