On the 30th June more than 40 people were arrested, only a handful were charged, the rest were dearrested and dropped off far outside the city, there were even more searches of anyone wearing black or looking remotely 'activisty'. The right to protest is being slowly taken away, every single anticuts protest ends in a massive kettle, we must stop this, somehow..

Fair enough, personally I'd have said keep it, but..........actually just for next time, (as I assume like me you won't be giving up) if you've been photographed by the fit team or actually even yourselves how about? saying to them "well we've got this whole process on film, how about I bring that as evidence this is mine when I come to collect it"? I only gave my name and? phone number, and they needed proof of my name from a form of ID, so I gave them my EHIC which only has my age and name on, otherwise i would not have been able to claim back my megaphone at the police station where it was being held. We didn't have a legal observer and I only know the very basics of the law.

This group was described by the BBC as very small, angry, noisy and dangerous and condemned by the TUC...watch it for yourself.
The people we were with at that point numbered in at least 10,000, there were protesters for as far as the eye could see behind and infront and this was not the TUC march.

Police violently attack protester at Trafalgar Square at March 26th protests

The protester in the video was standing in front of the limousine because the limo had a line of police riot vehicles behind it trying to get through, he was then hit with a police shield and baton by two police officers and then pushed out of the vehicle's path, (shields cannot be used as an offensive weapon) whereas the protester used no violence against anyone, police or otherwise.

Unless you are being arrested, the police cannot pull or grab you because of the long list of protesting rights such an action would infringe upon. He was not being arrested; they were just trying to get his stupid ass out of the road because he was blocking traffic, hence why they used their shields (which is, again, acceptable). That's nice. I have no pity for people like you who think that a push constitutes brutality and are just? itching for a chance to scream and cry it.

The shield is used to push and shove back when necessary- not as a weapon. The police are trained to use it as such, and keep their batons at the ready as their only true weapon to attack with. If he had struck him with the baton, it would be different. But he only pushed at him with the shield, because the idiot was standing in the middle of the road blocking traffic intentionally. A police officer using their shield as a weapon as clearly shown here, isn't allowed, so that means the police officer was being brutal by using more force than necessary. The necessary amount of force for that would have been for the officer to just have pulled him away.
