re: drum tuning, I always liked the tight, almost "dead" sound, esp in the kick drum. Ringing echoes on the snare have their place, but in general, I liked a tight, sharp sound. You're welcome for posting. ? Anything for Jeff Porcaro, RIP.

Well, the I've-got-a-head-cold vocals and the dancing (!!??!) are a bit off, admittedly. Overall, though, it's a departure for Zevon, it has a message, and the drumming and the Swahili that Zevon chants in his lowest register keep it on my list of? favourites. Glad to hear other perspectives, though. Keeps our ears open!

I am so glad that so many people are getting the chance to see this unusual video. Zevon didn't make many. This one also gives him some cred with younger folks, as? he is side by side with Funkadelic's George Clinton.
