Anyone on the fence about attending one of these shows because of what they're hearing on audience recordings or any qualms about vocal processing (Brian is the ONLY one w/any such thing, and really didn't need it) please don't hesitate, you will get 40+ songs of hits, deep cuts, mind blowing vocal workouts/arrangements, this is NOT 5 old guys resting on their laurels, this is their swan song and they're working hard? for it. Videos can't do the live sound/show justice, you'll be blown away! =)

This was an amazing show and the vibes were great start to finish. Mike was particularly funny with all new stage banter (at least from what I saw of him in the late 90's/00's) and it was indeed a celebration if ever there were such a thing. I got some good video of a couple songs, in particular the Dennis/"Forever" tribute and a bit of Brian playing bass for FFF, I've seen other videos with slightly better sound from this show &will? post mine asap (THANKS! to the poster for the upload btw) =)

(part 2) I'd say the? vast majority of the audience was just elated to be sharing the same air as Mr. Wilson and we all know he can pull off an amazing performance one night and go through the motions the next, it's just how he is and we're lucky he's sharing any of this with us at his age/after all he's been through. For anyone that thinks he *needs* this processing to get through a show, there is an entire live performance of the SMiLE album on YT that will blow your mind, among others.

(part 1) I'm by no means a detractor or anything of the sort. I took my daughter to this show and it was? easily the best I've ever been to and I've been to many. I also saw Mike/Bruce in 2001 and that was a great show also. It may be hard to pick out if you don't know what to look for and I mean you no ill will the Beach Boys mean the world to me, but there is no denying after many hours of listening to these shows that there is *something* being done to Brian's voice, why I don't know -

(part 3 lol) - the best mixed/most respectful and respectABLE appearance by the Boys in a very long time as they were given the majority of the show to shine and given their proper respect as Fallon is obviously a huge fan (as is Questlove and the Roots) and you can hear (and see) the individual voices/members shine as opposed to an awkward tight shot of Mike or Brian when Al and Bruce are singing, etc. It was GREAT, flat? singing in spots/warts and all. Enjoy this exciting time & great music! =)

(part 2) - if you want to hear the Boys AND Brian as organic/mixed as? well as any appearances from this tour/reunion appearances, check out their performance of "In My Room," "That's Why God Made The Radio," "Wouldn't it Be? Nice" and a very cool interview with Mike and Brian from their appearance on Late Night w/Jimmy Fallon from a couple nights ago. None of the back-line guys were overpowering the originals (or even singing in some parts, it was almost all pure Beach Boy heaven) and it was--

The only person with any such effect on their voice was Brian, to *truthfully* answer your question, from a lifelong diehard Beach Boys fan (not just a "pet sounds/Brian Wilson fan.) I was at this show, (center stage row cc seats 5-7) and have heard many of the other shows of this tour also and people saying Brian isn't being processed in *some* way are doing just as big a disservice to him as whoever decided he needed the processing (he doesn't.) -to be? continued--

The voices on the single sound different from any other Beach Boys blend. So one suspects that the original vocals have been processed out of recognition. ? But this clip shows -- that the new single captures (at its best) what the new blend -- including Marks and Foskett -- and without Carl -- sounds like. And it sounds great.
