I would have to say my favorite beer was some wheat beer I had in Munich Germany. Don't know the brand, but I probably can't get it here in the US anyway.? In the US, my vavorites would be, Shiner Bock, Yuengling, Blue Moon, or Sam Adams Boston Lager. There is a microbrew in Ashland, Wisconsin that makes what they call Honey Hheatberry, that I like a lot too.

At first, I begrudgingly went to ODU because it? cost more and was a very liberal college, but the Engineering department was not overtly liberal, and didn't try to indoctrinate you. They just stuck to engineering, so I actually enjoyed my time at ODU. Also the engineering students were mostly veterans or conservative leaning people, so we all got along great. Awesome on the GPA! I graduated with a 3.86, just by the skin of my teeth...lol

Holy crab bro, other than the military service, we took the same route through college. I got my Associates from NVCC and then moved back to VB, and got my Bachelors from ODU. While I did live at home in VB and? my parents paid for my education, I had 2 requirements: 1) I had to have a good paying part-time job (worked on average 32 hours a week) and 2) I had to maintain a 3.5 GPA. Graduated with a 3.85.

One of my last companies is hiring for my old position, but that requires a special certification and some? college. Thanks! I am not against people taking student loans, just don't bitch about it. If they didn't like the terms of the loan, go earn the money of borrow it from somebody else. I actually think I got? a better education from community college because I got instruction by the professor instead of asking some grad student after waiting in line with 200 other students. It is crazy how much you have to pay at these colleges just so you can teach yourself to get the fancy name on the diploma.

Great info! I don't doubt the numbers, but the companies who hire prestigious college grads are probably not hiring the masses? either. I am not saying that it is not worth the money, just saying that it is not a practical venue for the masses. If you can get in and afford it, great, but don't get eyeballs in debt to do it and then bitch about how much it costs when there are plenty of less expensive alternatives available. Heck, 4 out of 6 of my bosses at various companies do not have a full college degree. I think I am? the only one in my company right now with an engineering degree, so it is a myth that you HAVE to have a college education to get a good job. My buddy who is a plumber makes more money than I do! I would have to say that, for me, it has opened up a lot of doors, but it is mainly because of my work experience and performance that has brought me to where I am today.

There are plenty of students who choose the route to go to community colleges, technical schools, etc. and also work a part time job. It doesn't matter what school? name is on the piece of paper that the degree is printed on. So many worry about the name of the school, just like the name of the shirt, pants, shoes, etc. that they grew up wearing. Where there is a will there is a way. Thanks! I plan to check out some of the local gun shops and sporting goods stores for some good deals. There are some round receiver ones that are actually more rare and valuable? than the hex ones. You just have to know what proof marks to look for.

There are a lot of things that go into keeping a boy's interest in Scouts. For my older son, he joined because his buddy was in it, but when they graduated to Boy Scouts, he had grown apart from his friend, and it just wasn't the same, so he lost interest. I think the same is happening to my younger son, but we'll see. It also depends on the amount of activities the Pack is willing to have, which requires parents to step up and help. If you have an apathetic pack, then the boys will get? bored.

Brings back a lot of? memories from my childhood. I hope my baby gets into it! My stepson did it for 1 yr and lost interest. They are building a huge Boy Scout compound in the next county over. Suppose to have the world jamboree there.

LOL...yeah, it's a tough sell to get kids to read a book now a days.? I am fortunate where my kids like to read more than I do. I guess the interim fix is to give them a kindle or nook, so at least they are still reading.

In this day and age the responsibility would stagger me. When I was in the Scouts it was a different society so little things like broken bones and snake bites didn't even raise? eyebrows :)
