Seems to me that he was ahead of his time for music and didn't compromise his music. Its my perception of him. His? older music was great.

i wish someone would post some real vintage Mt Stevie. This is his 80's comeback thingie. His vintage years were ten years and more before that. Anyone got the album with Valerie and vacant chair on it? That would just be heavenly to find on Y/T - music shops fahgedditt! Stevie was a child prodigy. A? genius player/composer when he was 16. His bands all imploded, powders, incompetence ego etc. In the mid 70's he wen solo and 4 or 5 classic albums followed. none recognised or promoted properly.

I'm not a huge fan of Steve Winwood but this song, Wow, I fell in love with it right away. I think he did some good work back in the 70's too. :) This song is just magical. When you listen to it, you do feel free. Free inside your soul. I totally get lost in this one!! When you see a chance , take it. Perfect advice for the 80's!! :D I know all us 80's kids sure did take our chances and just lived life to the fullest back then. Life was good in the 80's!! The best? times!! I love the 80's!! :) ?

Ok Now! This has to be Steve Winwood's best 80's hit for me ! Steve Winwood goes back to the 70's as well with some awesome hits that I grew up on. :-) This song here brings back so many memories of my life. Memories of? the skating rink, the pool, the park with friends, the times spent on the river on the houseboat,the sneaking out at night to drive the country roads with friends and listen to this song and just feel so darn carefree and alive like no other time in my life. I miss those days!:-(
