@MagmaMusen I do martial arts myself to and not all of this is useless. Not only does it build muscles in places normal workouts don't, some of these kicks were used (when they were originally created) to dismount people off of horse back. No we don't need to do that now, but say someone had a good foot and a half of height on you. Not only can the rotation alone double the kicking strength of a kick, but it's height as well, making this well worth any martial artists? time.

I got to spar with Shaolin practicioners before, I did MMA (Mostly BJJ) for a while and some Taekwondo but when I sparred the Shaolin, you try to clinch or takedown, they just jam their rock hard fingers into your throat and? push you away. They are the fastest people... Ever... What most people don't know is, there's so many things in MMA that are also in Kung fu. Such as rear naked chokes, armbars, triangles etc. And my point is, kung fu was made for killing (weapons included) MMA is a sport

I'll agree with the first part of that. But who carries a spear or a sword now? a days? If you ask me, Krav Maga would be the only practical form of single martial arts in regards to warfare and the kind of hand to hand combat you are speaking of. Also, how often does a kungfu practitioner get to actually 'rip a throat out' vs how often an MMA fighter knocks another fighter out or chokes him out etc? Kung fu is a beautiful Martial Art with limited practicality IMO. respected none the less.

Actually if you notice martial art systems like Kung fu and Karate in history have primaraly used? weapons. Let's look at it this way. If we put a Ming Dynasty warrior in the Octagon with Brock Lesnar he would get knocked out. If we put Brock Lesnar on a ancient Chinese battle field, he would get stabbed/blown up by Ming warriors. Kung fu has undergone some changes in the last hundred years thanks to white people and movies.Thaiclinch a Shaolin monk, he'll rip your thoat out...

Without a doubt one of the finest fights I've ever seen, and considering I own upwards of 150 Kung Fu flicks, that's saying something. The speed and precision is incredible, and both Gordon Liu and Johhny Wang are really showing their shit here. Just seeing the appreciable difference in technique as the space gets smaller, and how they have to bend and yet still show such ferocity. The rest of the movie was good. Not great, but good. This fight, though, was worth the admission all on its? own.
