For 2 years I taught the deadly force portion of Mi CCW classes for a friend of mine that is an NRA certified trainer. Having A Handgun without the training and the will to use it puts other people in danger from you. If the worst happens and you have to defend your or your childs life.? In Mi you can't open carry unless your hunting. There are state and city ordinances just like there was in tombstone arz at the time of the OK coral. Concealed carry however is the way that the people in the state gov decided to regulate who is carring a pistol on there person to insure that person. 1] has no crininal record,2] has no? history of mental illness.3] has at minumun the training to hit an 11x8 target and understands the Law concerning the use of deadly force.

I was so happy when MI adopted the castle doctrine before that you had to reteat as far back in your home as you could get from a home invader and only after you couldn't reteat no more could you use deadly force. today someone kicks your front door down you can assume there there to cause you harm
