Ok. If you are only for removing poorly? thought out and ineffective regulation, then I am with you on that. You would be surprised at how many people out there seem to be asking to get rid of all regulation. My other concern is that there is a big fight against some "useless regulation" that is quite useful. The classic scenario is the Koch brothers trying to water down the EPA to save money. "government waste" is drummed up as a boogyman to make people angry.

It is fair to attribute 2009 spending to Bush. The 2009 budget was a Bush Era? Budget.The spending happened under Obama, but with few exceptions, the expenditures were authorized by Bush. Obama's first budget was 2010. FYI- 1/3 of the STIM was tax cuts (not spending) and 1/3 went to the states to spend as they saw fit. Also, the auto bailout came from TARP funds that were authorized during the Bush era ( it did not require additional borrowing).

Most Fuel? Efficient Cars get 32 MPG anyway. A Mandate to improve fuel efficiency to 37 MPG by 2016 doesn't do much.
