The owners (stockholders) give stock options to a CEO to reward for results, defined as increasing value of stock, and profit (under 4%). By giving stock away, the owners are giving a portion of ownership in the corp away. The increased shares ( to CEO), dilute the value? of remaining shares (Stockholders). Owners(stockholders) are happy to give a portion of the corp to a CEO who has managed an increase in stock value. This costs customers Zero. Only his wage is paid by customers.

Ceo`s in many cases earn the bulk? of their compensation in stock options, which depend on future value of the corp. Long term increasing value is central to their pay. But, short term profit is important too, and we see that profitable corps pay high rates of corp tax. Unprofitable corps pay nothing. That whole dept is not on Medicares` books at all. How do they receive it? Employers are forced to collect and mail in Medicare revenue through payroll deductions, at their own cost. I was cheated from a position because I put in a LATE bid? because my floor shut down and everyone was out. The manager of the floor called me at home and told me to put in the bid. Then human resources called and said I had the job. But someone with more senority had put in a bid. And even though they had a position and I didn't she won with the union.

With everyday workers pay being stagnant at best and in more cases declining when would be a good time for more workers to have union representation? Unions aren't some object or thing, they are groups of people. If you're a union member and you don't? like the way something is going you attend your meetings and try to change the situation.
