The percentage that the owners get doesn't just go? into their pocket they have to pay all of the team staff, that includes coaches, physios, security ect..., as well as travel costs the cost of maintaining running and part of the cost of building the arenas. At the end of the day some of the smaller markets lose money and can't compete. not to mention if these guys aren't happy you can always find more players but it's much harder to replace or find owners willing to opperate at a loss

If no deal is reached in the next 24hrs. the players will likely be forced to accept less. That won't happen so they'll probably dissolve the players' union so they can sue the owners. That would take awhile in court so you can kiss the whole season goodbye (and maybe next year too). Bring the pain! Let 'em fight! Take out Stern? and then reshuffle some teams to larger markets that have shown long-term support only to lose their team forever. RIP SONICS! You think one missed season is bad? Try 3!

Wow, I actually started to see your point that is until you pointed out that 22 out of 30 teams had a loss last year. Ofcourse you would know that because? ESPN did a whole thing on how money is earned, broken down and what have you. Wait, didnt those same NBA teams and most major sports teams pencil-fuck and doctor their books for tax leniency?
