I cant seem to get the stylus/pens to work on the acer? iconia. The pens have a squishy ball tip and the Acer doesnt read the sensing of the pen that well. Does anyone know of any good pen brands or how to get the pens to work with the Acer ?

I'm not sure where you're getting your information from but I highly doubt that acer is larger (as far as more annual sales go) than Dell or HP. True? it is a more reputable and older company than most people might think, but Dell and HP are the top computer manufacturers in the world and I doubt acer is coming close anytime soon to bypassing either of them in that respect.

Finally, When calling "Customer Support", You get Smart Alex with Attitude Problems who don't know anything about anything. Or will put you on hold for 10 or so minutes. Who will then transfer you to "Technical Support" who knows about the problems whit the acer machine. They then give you a temporary fix. Because 3 weeks later you're back to having the? same problems you had when you first called. Once again, I say DO NOT BUY! Or, You'll Be Sorry!!

The acer is a piece of shit. It ALWAYS freezes up. It? ALWAYS goes back to previous web pages ON ITS OWN while your in the middle of writing something. The voice command Can't understand letters like (V) or (S). Just to name a few. If you put to much pressure on the center of The Machine, it acts Erratic at times. I'm afraid to use it for Important things because I don't know what it will do. I've had mine less than a year, and it has already cost me BIG TIME! My Review is, DO NOT BUY!

I agree for the most part. The IPad is useless. But? having two touch screens like this, with windows 7 is useful for graphic designers and the like. I'm not a fan of touch keyboards, but having the main monitor be touch would be good for people that use Photoshop and other apps like that a lot. It takes away the need for a digitizing tablet, and gives you the capability to draw directly on the canvas thus greatly improving your artwork and workflow.

If you think Ipad is pointless,? tell me how does putting two ipads together and sandwiching will make it more relavant or useful? Which is what this Dual touchscreen is. People who will find this useful and willing to pay 2 tablet worth of money for it when they can either buy one tablet or one ultra thin laptop, is very limited and niche. Even if touchscreen keyboards become a fashion, there's really no need for viewing screen to be touchscreen also. It's rather redundant.

My guess would be yes but there is better, it should be able to do basic drawing without a problem with a capacitive stylus, BUT if you are looking for a drawing tablet with pressure sensitivity you probably want? an active digitizer built around the screen such as a Wacom (which the Iconia doesn't have). Alternatively you could just use the usb ports to put a digitizer on the side, but in that case you wouldn't be drawing directly on the screen.

I didnt physically damage them at all but after a major update it worked fine, till i turned it off. Immediately the charging indicator light turned off and it just plain died. the hard reset button didnt even work. the first one lasted 3 days and the 2nd one lasted 4 hours, i really am disappointed because i liked this? tablet. i just want to warn people.

Had it for almost a month now and I'm completely satisfied. Also the reset button isn't that hard to access if your finger nails aren't chewed off or fat. for the price its a steal and ICS? works great. Only gripe is the speakers aren't all that.

Hi, I have iconia A501 which got stuck on the android screen. I'd normally bring it back to the manifacturer, but I am abroad for two weeks and I was desperate, so I tried to flash from an SD card using the first link. It resurrected the tablet, but now it think it's A500 and there is no 3G. I don't want to go further and root and? install custom roms, because i want to use the warranty later, but for now I am looking for a way to get the 3G. Any suggestions?

I have an A501, and I'm trying to? root it. However, I've tried all three mirrors and I get an exclamation mark when trying to revert to 3.0.1. Ive followed all your steps, extracting the update.zip and putting it in the root folder. However, I am unable to check if my SD card is in fat32, as I don't have a card reader. How could I fix this? its? the volume UP key not down. all done now the prob is its not going beyond startup menu, welcome screen, when going to next wifi screen it does not turns it on n give error Setup Wizard has stopped working report or ok upon ok it takes me back to the welcome screen to resetup.... im on liberty tab... any other ICS rom may work?
