In regards to those with pre-existing conditions? Yes that is the ONLY thing government and tax payer dollars should go to.. But not if it is herpes, or something like that.. The insurance companies could cover those with diseases like herpes, but just not medicines that pertain to herpes.. That would end all of this.. I swear, that man talking? Isn't an American, he has no clue of? what America is and what it stands for.. Those like him? Have ruined this country..
By: SuperGuitarman69. on 22 Sep 11, 21:33:17
Lasik surgery early on was nearly 5000 an eye.. Because it is an elective surgery, companies that provided the technology, doctors,? hospitals and outpatient care centers had to find ways to compete which led it to compete price wise.. We now pay 500 an eye.. The problem IS GOVERNMENT.. NOT HEALTHCARE. Obama is an idiot.. He is ruining this country.. He will be out in 2012 and whoever gets in there better repeal every last bastion of this farce called Obamacare..
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 23 Aug 11, 05:49:10
Be my guess tell them to got to hell! What motivation? would Republican Tom Colburn who is a staunch conservative and physician have to lie about something like that? He gains nothing but maybe pissing of all his constituents for his next election lol! You have a right to be concerned , but you're using a faulty argument that's easily debuncable! By having a weak individual mandate we will drive Insurance companies out of business leading to real SOCIALISM! SINGLE PAYER GET IT???
By: redbaroniii. on 23 Aug 11, 04:18:23
you are wrong, it you don't pay, and refuse to pay they will eventually JAIL you. Otherwise I am going to tell them to go to hell,,,, right that will work. Single payer is the real evil here.? My brother in Canada says it is OK for a broken bone, or a few stitches, but if you are really sick you will die before you are even seen by a doctor. And Canada is the best socialist system right?
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 23 Aug 11, 03:23:04
you wrote "Obama care is the first time you can be jailed for not buying a product. Jail mind yopu." Sorry? but that's not true lol! Just ask conservative Tom Colburn! Instead of you guys making things up try debating on merit! For example, the individual mandate is a paper tiger! If you don't buy insurance you pay a small tax penalty considerably less than the cost of a premium. This will drive private healthcare out of business and then youre left with SINGLE PAYER!
By: redbaroniii. on 23 Aug 11, 03:21:19
Well heck! Sorry to disappoint you but I am not a part? of the tea party (love them though I do) and have no love of the Fed Reserve. The Fed just hids the red ink that our government has been using to fund dumb socialist programs. I do think you are a very intelligent, though misguided person. Really I am not kidding. Witting for you is to me a fun thing and may be important in time... Who knows?
By: redbaroniii. on 23 Aug 11, 03:15:06
I did answer your question (see below) the trouble is that you think that "the same amount of force" is an anser. Obama care is the first time you can be jailed for not buying a product. Jail mind yopu. Do you support jail for some person? that just wants to be free from Obama care?
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 22 Aug 11, 23:13:24
You wrote "We started to go? wrong when FDR took over" a lot? of Tea Party and John Birch Society faithful would disagree with you on that one. Actually, they would argue that our grave mistake was the Establishment of the Federal Reserve in 1919 under President Woodrow Wilson. Which at the time was suppose to help stabilize markets and prevent girations in the markets (the preverbial boom bust) They awould argue it actually did the oppisite!
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 22 Aug 11, 22:59:47
You wrote "Speaking if "in your mind" " unlike you I will answer your question. Answer: The amount of force they have always used in this country! I'm hardly extreme left LOL since I'm pro-life and would consider voting for Ron Paul, but anyway since we're no longer going to engage in intelligent debate... by your? own admission you equate me with communists becuause I have some liberal views, then I should equate you with Al-Qaeda because they are right-wing and you are too!
By: redbaroniii. on 22 Aug 11, 21:19:11
Speaking if "in your mind" Tell me, how much force should the government use to take peoperty. legally held? by one citizen, to give to another? Where is the limit? Jail, death, confiscation? You are from the extreme left so maybe you can tell me, why do you guys hate the rich so much? Ever speach Obama makes he is begging to get power to hurt the rich. After the rich are dead then who is next?
By: redbaroniii. on 22 Aug 11, 21:05:13
Excellent question. We started to go wrong when FDR took over. Up to that time we still could have remained a basic Capitalist country with a free market. And Yes I think the President has a lot to do with the tripling of the? debt from when he took over (the Bush Blame is worn out), and pushing this awful back breaking, wasteful Obama care.
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 22 Aug 11, 14:44:00
You wrote "There are vast amounts of people in America that are fighting the oppressive, wildly out of control, behemoth run by Obama" I don't agree with your characterization but anyway, you talk as if our current government is an incarnation of Barack Obama lol! Are you saying that we didn't become this way until he came into office? If not, who was the? last President we had that represented "FREEDOM" in your mind?
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 22 Aug 11, 14:35:24
You wrote"but it would work. A simple tinny personal computer cost more than $5,000.00. Government? didn't interfere and competion drove the cost down." That has nothing to do with government. I am a CIS major. The truth is with any technology over time the cost to produce it goes down. In 1972 a microwave would cost you $1000.00. Today you can? get one for $40.00.
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 22 Aug 11, 14:27:44
Yeah I guess GM and Chrysler could have continued to make large trucks? and suvs that get 13 miles to the gallon their bread and butter despite $4.00 a gallon gas prices lol! Obama insisting they come up with a sound business model when they are borrowing billions of dollars from the American tax payer to restructure in Chapter 11 Bankruptsy is not an unreasonable request. If I borrowed $100,000 from you for a business, wouldnt you want some assurances that it not be wasted?
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 22 Aug 11, 14:17:03
You wrote "The dirty little truth about the bailout was that 80% of the money went to bail out the union retirement plans and the rest to build golf cart cars that nobody,? NOBODY, wants." Really??? Could have fooled me, GM and Chrysler are actally profitable for the first time in years! Chrysler has already paid back it's entire loan already plus interest and GM ain't too far? behind.
By: redbaroniii. on 22 Aug 11, 07:49:57
nobody in their right? mind can think this horrible plan will work. It has already caused great damage to all of medicine. It is time to correct this terrible mistake.
By: redbaroniii. on 22 Aug 11, 07:47:25
The wasted money that was given to the president's union buddies set us up for the Obama depression and we have lost Millions of? jobs. GM is still the sick man of car companies.
By: redbaroniii. on 22 Aug 11, 07:45:07
The dirty little truth about the bailout was that 80% of the money went to bail out the union retirement plans and the rest to build golf cart cars that nobody, NOBODY, wants. Now the union bosses get to fly in jets and light cigar (Cuban) with hundred dollar bills. GM should have gone through Chapter 11, sold off the bad parts for others to make profitable and get free of union domination. Then? they could make cars we want. First time in history a president ran a car company.
By: luvitluvitbaby. on 21 Aug 11, 15:39:17
Sounds like you have had a fulfilling life! I would just say if you think the auto bell out was a bad idea consider this, the President probably would not have done it under normal circumstances. If you recall at the time he had just taken office we were losing on avg 700k jobs a month, and all credit lending was frozen due to the financial collapse. In normal times they could have gone through a typical Chapter 11 but with no financeer they had to turn to? Uncle Sam!
