I have also fallen pregnant on the pill twice before (both? ended in miscarriages) I recently found out I'm not allowed extra oestrogen because of aura migraines (4x more at risk of stroke in my case). It's good you have found something that works for you. My statement about the pill & condoms is purely my personal preference & not meant to be me telling everyone the solutions obvious because it isn't always.

I considered this procedure. It sounded so elegant and simple. On further research I discovered there are long-term problems with this procedure and it is very difficult to reverse due to the scar tissue it is designed to produce. I encourage anyone to research the experience of women who have trouble with this procedure. Even my? doctor, who does this procedure, admits it has problems and recommends the IUD instead.

For some of us that's not an option. I'm alergic to most condoms. I got pregnant 2xs on the pill both times were ectopic, I then got on depo and that's when I got pregnant with my son. So now I have an IUD (paragard) which so? far so good, but that means I have metal in me anyway. I'd rather just get this procedure done and make it permanent and never have to worry about it again.

Every woman is different. You can't say that birth control doesn't make anyone gain weight, because it is a VERY common side-effect of birth control. It's an IUD that your gyno puts it in, easy peasy (really, the hardest part is remembering to relax for the speculum), and it lasts five years, and if you have heavy periods, it cleans that up, too. I've had mine for going on three years now, it requires no maintenance or upkeep on my part, and it *works*. If you're interested, ask your doctor.

OK, I do NOT hate Santorum and I am a Christian, but birth contol is used for LOTS of other things, such as to allow girsl to not go through "that time of the month" EVERY month. I know married people who use birth control and I think that it's great. I think the best birth control that should be considered is? condoms. HIV/AIDS still exist today as many are taking too much risk on their health. To prevent abortion and the spread of STD's, use condoms. But is even the most safest sex ever is to not have sex. Sounds like they should build a women`s prison like in Afghanistan, I just watched a documentary about it last night. For extra-marital affairs you can get 1 to 15 years in prison. What if the chose adoption instead of having their own..Do they have to be infertile to make that option? Some women hate the idea of being pregnant or they have suffered too many miscarriages. The implication by you being that adopting a child is second best even to God..Giving? a living child a better, loving home is less than giving birth even if that is difficult...

I know good Catholics who have been sterilized because having another child would kill them...It seems that to some? that is a price worth paying and in the Catholic Church a woman's life is not worth much once pregnant, nor are the her living children. I am thankful I am from a Parish that is more understanding than you are..I believe in a forgiving loving God...Sometimes giving birth can do the body long lasting damage...You as a man can not possibly imagine it.

By choosing to be sterilized for the purpose of not having children, you risk something much greater than ex-communication from the Church; You put your soul in jeopardy. The majority of practicing Catholics stop at two children, I do not believe it is all due to NFP..The stop at two children because they can not afford more or because they are content and the woman does not want to get pregnant again. Some women find the reality of pregnancy and child birth to be something they do not want to repeat..or maybe one child needs alot of extra attention....And what about medical reasons for The Pill, it has other benefits.?

That is one type of Pill... there are other kinds that prevent the womb lining from forming, it makes it impossible for the egg to fertilize..that is often given to women and teenage girls to control heavy periods which can be detremental to health...that is another aspect of birth control, it is used for other reasons. I am a Catholic and not on birth control? but I have been before and know the different types and affects.
