ah ... the real experts are? sitting behind the PC keyboard apparently. I think the singers do a surprisingly good job.. But when I think? about the lyrics and the music RAW, so to speak, they're pretty awful. I think Booker's touch on the keyboard is great, but he's a pretty amateur songwriter. That's just my opinion.

It's a good video and it's a shame that we don't hear music like this anymore. I've been looking for this song for years, the title track by Booker T. Jones can't be found anywhere. When you go to look for it "The Best Of You" is found under The Foo Fighters. Which I believe is unfair to the old school? liteners that are out there that collects old school R&B recordings from the 80's. The Best Of You, is one of the best blues love songs that was released in 1980 in my opinion. J.C.

looks like Troy Gonyea and Rick Holmstrom on guitars. Gonyea did time in the? Fabulous Thunderbirds after Kid Ramos left. He was the next big blues guitarist coming out of the Boston area a dozen years back (doing the cleaner, Jimmie Vaughan thing). He then changed his look (to the long haired hippie freak thing) and started a rootsy rock band called The Howl. Homstrom is a hell of a player, but more in the Junior Watson style.

Note the group is not performing live, but it's always great to hear this classic piece. Hollywood a Go Go was a one hour music program produced by the RKO General "flagship" station in Los Angeles, KHJ. Material PD, copyright lapsed.
