I'm not sure you know your economics or your? history. in the 1930's when recession threatened the land, governments attempted to balance budgets, they slashed spending, and cut government jobs... You're suggesting that to get an economy moving again we need to stop(!) spending money? No business did better when people stopped buying its products. according to my economics text book, there are many ways to control the flow of cash in order to manipulate the economy and pay off debts. One is for government to keep borrowing, which will increase the debt based on interest from loans,The other is for government to print more paper money to pay off it's own debt, which could lead to inflation. Context makes no difference - he promised Blacks that he would go out of his way to fight for Civil Rights, and in fact did not make a big push until 1963; hence the reason the most significant Civil Rights Act was signed in 1964. In his first year as president, he acted much like Clinton in wanting to satisfy both ends? of the poitical spectrum and using the default choice. An example to sum up: Obama probably doesn't order Bay of Pigs.

In all fairness, as much as I like what Kennedy stood for, he didn't take a personal interest in the issues until VERY late in his life. In the early part of his political career he focused on means to stay popular and get elected, and as a House Rep he failed to show up a lot of the time. He did it because his dad wanted a son who was a successful politician. As Pres, it took him time to talk Civ Rights (ask MX). To compare at the same point in their lives, I'd say? Obama has done better.

I am quite aware he was one of 7 senators to vote against NDAA, but we really do not have? 60 years to turn around the Senate. 93 senators voted for it, and Rand Paul had a chance because he was a Paul. There is a reason that both cops and "criminals" use? similar, if not the same, psychiatrists, because psychologically they are almost identical. They get off on beating innocent, especially undefended people. Not all police are the same but many of them are sociopaths who "get off" on committing state approved violent acts to suppress human rights, they're able to detach themselves emotionally and revert to simple minded cave men with armor, batons, tear gas, and rubber bullets.
