That is why I offered to do a little experiment on your pelvic girdle, which also seems to exhibit the? same "floating" qualities as the lower rib. What you need to do is read up a bit more on the Ilizarov procedure. I happen to have been in the hospital in the 1980's? in the USSR and have seen this procedure performed on children who's one leg was shorter. The procedure was in no way unassisted. It involved the use of a very complex frame apparatus, frequent breakage of the leg bone and even some sort of injections. The lower ribs can grow back on their own. That's the key difference here, which you do not see.

I expect the humerus would regenerate, actually. In a similar respect to how bones regenerate in the leg during the Ilizarov procedure. How? about you simply accept that there are many bones that regenerate, that there may be exceptions to the rule, but the rib is by no means special, and that therefore, the point in the video is a ridiculous one. One of many bones regenerate, the body can have remarkable regenerative properties - it is not a vestige of a RIB WOMAN.

To reiterate. Removing a whole bone from any part of the body is the removal of the whole structure -- in this case it cannot regenerate. However, removing a portion of a bone will allow it to regenerate. The rib is part of a large structure that is in effect, one solid mass of bone. Removing one part of it (a rib) is the same as removing some of the bone from somebody's skull - in both cases it regenerates. Gene Duplications are the result of duplicating existing genetic information, and? mutations alter existing genetic information (whether original or duplicated). Neither of them adds new information. there must be a mechanism to add genetic information such as genes to make arms, legs, and brains, otherwise it is very limited and would not cause evolution to occur on the macro level. Thus it doesn't support macro evolution.

It's when an entire gene is copied, allowing either of the two copies to be affected without affecting the original gene. This means that changes in the copy can occur, which is new information! Muations can and do produce new genetic information which can lead to new adaptations, traits, and species. evolutionist would claim that the bacteria has indeed increased? information as it produced a new read-out. But this new read-out is still a subset of the already existing DNA in that organism. The frame-shift mutation did not add onto the existing DNA rather it only scrambled what was there.the variation or changes cannot become massive if all it does is re-arrange the existing DNA, it is severely limited to that. luckily it was in a good environment to continue the nylon bug, but no new info.

Brits seem to have a huge misconception that evolution is never? taught in American schools. Evolution is always taught in public schools in the U.S. In some places, mostly the bible belt like Alabama, a few people fight it but they never win. I was first thoroughly taught evolutionary theory by a Christian who didn't believe in it. Only about 40 percent of Americans still believe in creationism which means most Americans now accept Darwin,s theory. We still have a ways to catch up to you guys.

Unfortunately, the cost of these robots is what they are. There's cheap servos then there's high quality, very expensive servos that look the same on the outside but aren't the same. Sadly, they cost a lot now. I don't make enough and never will make enough to own a bot that cost more than a few hundred dollars (and struggle with that price) but I hope that someday bots like this will be affordable for? us normal, regular low paying job type people. Maybe when I'm 65 or so.

I'm a Christian and I have taken biology classes for two years straight now. I take them as a requirement for my major, and while I have done philogenetic? trees for classes, it doesn't mean that I agree with the ideals behind them. You don't have to be an evolutionist to know about the terms of homology and anology. Sure stating homology would be cause for evolution, but whether its really homologous is decided by people. People are people, thier descisions are subjective.Truth=objec.

I don't see how I? insulted anyone? Congrats on your math major, I'm dual degreeing in Biomedical science and Chemistry, so I'm not completely uneducated on these subjects either. And yes I agree with the fact that some people may look at proof as impossible through a metaphysical sense, but that was not what I was getting at... cont.

My? original intention of the statement "nothing can be proven" is meant in the fact that at any time someone could create and test a new hypothesis about anything. If that hypothesis is correct it can be used as supporting evidence for a claim, not as proof. What is there to say that someone else can't come along and test a new hypothesis that may falsify the data found in the previously run experiment? It is impossible to fully state that anything is proven.

Science can only support it with highly controlled experiments but that is so much more than any other theory that discredits evolution can do. What exactly do you believe in? And by the way, you can't claim that a characteristic is homologous among? species WITHOUT believing in evolution.

But it is unfair... or unconventional at least, to bring the concepts of metaphysics into other fields. In every field, axioms (self-evident assumptions like 1+1=2) have to be made and every theory/theorem is based upon these assumptions. Changing the topic to Biology, not math being provable, I don't think the inevitable existence of axioms should discredit all work that has been done in a field. Although we can never attain a picture of true reality doesn't justify it being? false.

You make valid points when it comes to math and subjectivity. But they don't refute the statement that proof is unattainable. Simply returning to my original point that while it is impossible? to prove any existence of the super-natural, it is equally as impossible to provide "proof" of evolution. What is there other than a person's judgement to say that a particular characteristic among species is homologous as appossed to analogous?
