I'm certainly disturbed by the State Department's denial of what is going on, however I interpreted it differently in that he at first asserted that "we have nothing to hide", and then went back and gave? forth a sliver of an admission. It is clear that the State Department's official stance on the issue is that "we have nothing to hide", and what was said in the end was Mark's input; which, after all is said and done, makes Mark better than a robot.

Obama is commander-in-chief of the US military & chief law enforcement executive of the US. Reports of torture of Bradley Manning can't be confirmed nor disproved because Obama's subordinates will allow no independent access to Manning. I guess Obama learned secrecy/torture at Harvard.
