I think they should have him start over Michael Beasley. Beasley is a less effective Carmelo Anthony and even an effective Carmelo Anthony type player is detrimental to team chemistry. Derrick should start so he gets the experience and matures quicker. Then the Wolves should trade? Beasley and get a good SG. Wesley Johnson was a bad pick.

He's getting playing time. About 20 minutes a game. Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki didn't see a lot of time in their? first two years but look what they became. If he wants more playing time then he'll have to work for it and prove that he deserves it. He's becoming more confident and aggressive too so I think toward the end of the season he'll be averaging over 10 points a game and see more playing time. It's too early to say a coach is ruining his career.

Had Dwill shown even just one skill that he could be counted on to bring every night, then he wouldve played a lot more. Thats how Ricky Pek &even AT at times earned their minutes. I have to say that I dont see why you'd think? Adelman wasnt a good coach. The talent drop off & inconsistency of the bench was HUGE& was finally exposed w/ all the injuries. BTW what improvements did Houston show exactly? They overacheived & underacheived all season then ended up w/ basically the same record as before

Derrick Williams is much more capable then he showed? this season but I truly think Rick Adelman is not that good of a coach, just look how long it took him to make Ricky Rubio a starter plus look at the improvements of the Houston Rockets after he left. I think any player under Adelman other then a proven all-star will suffer with inconsistent starting lineups and minutes.

ive been reading your comments and i understand what your saying but the argument that if they weren't big and athletic theyd suck isn't really saying much sense they are big and athletic and good players. I would pick bynum over dirk just for the fact that guys like bynum or dwight are harder to come by with that presence,? there are alot more one on one scorers in the nba that do it just fine like dirk does.

Kevin Love does have an ISO game... It's not as good as Nowitzki's but it's better than most PF's. I've seen him take plenty of guys to the rim on his own, LaMarcus Aldridge being the latest example. He was owning K-MART on ISO? too in the last Clips game. Obviously Bynum and Howard are better on defense but only because they're giants and very athletic. Bynum is not more dominant... Points = dominance. Love scores more and rebounds more.. Give it up Bynum is not better.

Well it's about your personal preference. Dirk Nowitzki is a lot better than Andrew Bynum? but he shoots a lower percentage. Players like Nowitzki keep you guessing more. If you anticipate the jump shot too much they'll take it inside. If you play him for the post he'll take a shot on you. Much more versatile. What's Bynum and Howard gonna do? Hmmm... Either try to dunk it or... Oh wait that's it. When their athleticism goes they won't be shit.

His FG% is only lower because he's more of a jump shooting PF like Nowitzki. If? he was huge and athletic he could get to the rim no problem but he's not. If you consider the biggest and most athletic guy to be the best then you are a child. Throwing your body around and bullying for points doesn't make you better. He needs to get alot of coaching in the off-season about driving to the rim because he's getting over 10% of all of his shots blocked, and the league average is around 5%. He has this weird eurostep move he does and it causes him to run out of moment by the time he jumps towards? the hoop. He's very inconsistent and that's why his minutes are sporadic. He'll get much more consistent minutes next year.

it's not Adelman's fault, it's the roster we have. This team has alot of tweeners on it, and it's causing Derrick Williams minutes to be inconsistent. Is he a 3 or i he a 4? He's shown to be much more effective at the 4, but he's not gonna get to play there much because of Kevin Love. I think next year, once we've let Beasley go and hopefully don't play the god awful Wesley Johnson anymore, Derrick Williams will be able to grow at the 3 spot. He so far has? shown an inability to get his shot off.

surround literally every point guard in the league with good finishers and they would destroy any team. Mo Williams is complete shit but somehow managed to be an All Star because he was? able to pass the ball to Lebron James. Rubio's talent would be better gauged by how he performs with a team filled with terrible players, like how Steve Nash is playing incredible basketball even though the Suns right now are one of the worst teams in the league.

Which is why under Adelman they've went from last in? the leauge in defense statisticlly to top 15 ( I believe) and they've went from last in 4th quarter defense to top 5 in 4th quarter defense. So how exactly isn't the coach doing his job. You make it sound like you're supposed? to take a 17 win team an automaticlly make them a playoff team over night. Can you please tell me one young team in a similar position to the t-wolves that went from a horrible( Worst record in the leauge) To a winning record in one season because of a coaching change. If you can tell me that then I'll take your opinion seriously. But you can fire a coach for going 3-6 when the oldest player on his roster is like 25 and he's still teaching everyone how to play basketball the right way and make plays for other people? rather than just themseves.

Do you? realize the year before OKC made the playoffs they had a 23 win season? These things don't happend overnight with young teams. It's a process. Before you claim a 2-5 record isn't good you have to realize how bad the t-wolves were before when they didn't have a consistent offense and didn't compete on defense. Adelman is basiclly a hall of fame coach trying to change a losing franchises whole mentality and approach to the game overnight. Record means little right now.

That kind of useless trivia will definitely help you amount to something. my opinion doesn't have a lot of substance, but last time i checked a 2-5 record isnt good.
