Windows media player can read it fine. How ever the? file is so large wmp has issues with it so it stutters. With that said the files are very large so you need to render them down in sony vegas pro any way. Same thing with fraps.

That sounds about right. SSDs advantage is in access times not necessarily reads/writes. I won't go for a velociraptor though mainly due to? price/GB, and I already have a decent drive so I'll probably just pick up another WD black and Raid-0 so I should see about a 75%+ increase in speed and it's only about $50. Personally. I use Hypercam2 with the ffdshow codec set to use Divx/Xvid and record at 4000-6000 bit rate. This is great for video's up to 720p. It doesnt handle 1080p too well though and? you will? get audio de-sync if you try to record 1080p vids with it but hey, its free :)

"Action!" is much better. Fraps takes your fps down sooo much.? Action! is good because your fps stays at allmost the same as before you started record, like no change at all, and it records in HD aswell! Also it has alot of different settings and options that Fraps doesn't have. I'm not saying that Fraps is bad, just that Action! is better in my opinion.

I've currently no reason to use anything other than DXtory. Has the features that you would need, less system use,? -and- it ties in perfectly for streaming with Xsplit. Still, its about time they updated its file wrapping, now they just need to add a few more features. For those meantionong it, multiple audio streams is great and all but simply using something like audacity will still give a better outcome and takes barely any time to sync up during editing.

I read somewhere about higher system requirements for newer versions. Does that means that newer version of Fraps need and better cpu ? I would go for newer version? but I'm concern about that. idk which gun you mean but its probably because these are based on real guns and real guns often have the bolt on right even if intended for right handed shooters because if you hold the forestock with your left and pull trigger with your right then you dont need to be pulling trigger while running? the bolt but you do need to still hold on to the rifle and preferably hold it kinda in place so you dont have to completely re aim the gun. it makes sense when your actually shooting.

I got fraps recording to my External HDD that i use for backup at half size and get an average 40-60 fps well recording. But at full size 1920x1080 (1080p) i get 20 fps... My external HDD supports USB 3.0 however my PC doesn't have any USB 3.0 connections so its running at USB 2.0 performance.? Will buying a USB 3.0 expansion card make it so i can record at full size?
