We're all blessed that we have these recordings & videos so younger people like you can see & experience what it? was like. These times will never come again, but we have it forever! Love Primus, there is no other band like them. I saw them at Lollapalooza 93 with Herb, and in 96 with Brain. Excellent shows! Herb is still my favorite drummer, but Jay kicks ass in his own right. This is a great performance, although Les sounds a little tired compared to when I? saw him last! I still love this band forever!!! PRIMUS SUCKS!!!

There aren't any ones he only uses a fretless for, like some he'll record on a fretted & play on a fretless live, and visa versa - but whenever you see him playing the Rainbow Bass (the 6 string with many different types of wood) then you'll know it's fretless. I think the difference between this arrangement and their previous songs, and thus the reason judges said it was going over their heads, was because it was complex for complexity's sake and not for the sake of the music.? It seemed like here they were being complex just because they could, and they didn't quite make it fit with the song. Ben complained about this song being over his head because he couldn't keep up with it. He has no soul. Afro-blue slightly changed the groove in this rendition about 4 times!!! And they did that all in 1 minute and 30 seconds!!! Ben was probably confused because he has? no rhythm. Well, what usually happens is that the popular songs are those that are more suitable for everyone. in FATM case "dog days are over" and "you've got the love" were her "breakthroughs" due to the catchy melody? but if you listen to her other songs chances are you will find a better one. Same happens with gaga,adele, and any other artist. Of course this is subjective and my point of view. I really dont get why people have the need to relate and compare artists its just dumb and incoherent.

Exactly, thank you ! Florence is so much more creative, her work is real art ! Lady gaga seems/is so builded by the music industry, especially the lyrics and the melodies, and the instruments she uses (which are none, she make sounds with machines, except a little piano here and there ^^)... As for her voice I? admit she does have something, but nothing compared to Florence (That's just my opinion :p).

And Florence transcends the stereotypical "tastes in music." Meaning MANY people can get into FATM no matter if you like rap, metal, rock, country, pop. They're great live, write their own unique music, and her voice is too beautiful and unique. I feel bad for anyone that associates her with any shitty pop star simply because you heard her on the same radio station. Bottom line, if you like? As she does not "murder" every song she covers she is one of the few artists that can sing? with passion as you can see it in her live performances.
