The U.S. is not as small as Canada or some socialist country, is why we cannot pay full-covered health care for everybody in taxes. Taxes slowly kill you financially, for an unknown cause, while private health care simply just eats at you when fully awake. having done the vegan thing on several attempts,? it's not the healthiest diet. Animal protein is a fine protein/nutrient source for omnivores. Good diet=Mostly veg's incl small amounts anim. protein. Total avoidance of animal protein would not drastically cut disease. It is the consumption of refined edibles preserved for a long shelf life, not wellness, that contributes to easily preventable diseases/conditions such as endocrine/metabolic issues, autoimmune issues, and cancers.

There is very little incentive for preventive care. That is what the Novartis ad is saying. Preventive care. When I was in the UK and went to an ER where they failed to handle my medical problem I was sent a wopping bill from the hospital. They didn't allow me to use my NHS card because I don't reside in the UK even though I had paid into it. Some people think NHS is free and it is not. Like I said in the US we have a County? Hospital System so people don't need to go bankrupt as you put it! I volunteer at a major County Trauma Center and everyone is treated the same and the doctors save lives with or without insurance. I do not need one more? forsed insurance. I hate doctor and hospitals. I already pay taxes for the old age future madicare. I paid for many years and have a few years left to my retirement. The reason Healthcare and thus insurance has gotten so expensive is because of regulation and liability doctors are open to. All the government can do about it is interfere with the free market and increase the price of food and fuel, so instead of working to earn money to buy food, chopping wood, for myself and to help out my friends, family, and neighbours I can SEE genuinely need help, I wind up working increasingly hard to? fund an army of beurocrats, and people who wont get of their arses.

That's funny, if I don't get enogh food everyday I'll die too. When I'm older I'll have greater medical expenses, some my own damn fault due to lifestyle choices, not to mention if I lived in Alaska I'd die without heating in my home. Everybody wants insurance, but nobody talks about the penalties for enforcing it. Will it be like car insurance where they penalize you to the point you can never catch up? At least if you don't want car insurance? you can walk penalty free. I think it will be repealed because you cant demand that anybody pay for something they don't want or forget to pay without.penalties.
