They, (the media and the government) will even sub-divide a ethnic group just to make a charge of racism, such as in the Trayvon Martin case. Did you notice that they refer to George Zimmerman now as a "White Hispanic"? A "white Hispanic" Really? It seems that whitey is still being? racist, even in the Hispanic community. The goal here is to mix all the races, but when somebody eventually gets offended, and they always will, it will always? be that "white" part of you that is responsible for it.

It is possible to "demonize" ANY race, class, culture. Perhaps the negativity toward white folks that you're? addressing is an overly frustrated attempt to get white folks to become AWARE of an inherited legacy and privilege we carry at a cost to others.Tim Wise does a good job clarifying authentic self awareness/responsibility. You can find him here on youtube or google him. Pitting one race against another undermines our strength; self responsibility ADDS to our strength as a whole

The government and public educators are making "good little citizens" of our children. It started back in the 60's. Creating a world, where there are no winners or losers. And any child who rebel's will be given drugs to calm them down. The educators divide them into? groups based on ethnicity, all in the name of diversity. And they are taught by default, that the race of blame for the evil in the world is the big bad white man. I'm so very glad that I have no children in public school today.

To me, in this context, "struggle" implies the human capacity to recognize consequence, to FEEL for another, to feel for oneself. I did not say? guilt, which I would agree with you, is a pure waste of time and effort. It is also within the context of the first two lines of a Pat Parker poem: "First, forget that I'm black./ Second, never forget that I'm black." Ultimately, there is NO divide between races, which you address clearly. Yet, history DOES have impact.

Some who are blessed with the? talent of song that allows them to travel the world and bear witness true poverty and oppression first hand, can truely tesify how blessed we are being Americans. Even those who grew up in the streets of Compton Ca., and still had family to appreciate, and sing this song with the commitment of heart and soul that Keb Mo does.
