i actually do use a shield and? ive had to sacrafice some DMG for mitigation , i got string of ears which you WILL need for a belt and justice lantern for a ring is good but i havent found one yet.fair warning act 3 trash are freaking gods compared ot act 2. im not sure who said act 2 was the hardest act .melee are severely under powered and it shows farm that AH and farm ACT 2 best you can and use leap DEFENSIVELY , not for offense the armor rune with it saves you way more than ignore armor.

im so fkn thankful.as soon as i used pound of flesh i beat him 1st try, while i couldnt kill him without it in? 100000 tries. my stats are 14.4k dps ,54k hp , 71% reduce by armor and 733physres/~700allres(->also 71% dmgred) used berserkrage instead of tough as nails and leap(stunrune) instead of battle rage. again thanks so much for the pound of flesh idea. feeling so dumb not having used it before :D
