I love how serious Nancy looks and then it occurred to me she has the guitar pick waiting in her teeth (watch her retrieve it at the end of the intro). Roger's usual 'attitude' is a laugh (the open shirt too; but we all did that? then). Howard's picking up the Explorer for the harmonising-guitars part and returning to the keys is clever (always wondered how they did that live). Just super quality of performance and style. And there is a similar performance of 'Magic Man' here as well!

Rory was already a phenom in Ireland and Europe in 1966, and even before for some people. He formed the band Taste in 1966, and toured extensively. Hendrix and Rory both played at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970, Rory opening on Friday and Hendrix playing on Sunday. Rory played 5 encores, and totally blew everyone away. Though the quote I am referencing has been debated for years, it is a well known quote. Rory may not have cut a solo album yet, but you don't need an album to be well? known.

THIS is how I remember Rory -- beat up antique sunburst Fender Strat, faded blue jeans (holes in them before they became a "fashion" statement), bitchin' boots, a plaid shirt (with the sleeves rolled up), and a mile-long coil cord plugged into a wall of amps, and the?
