In one of your videos you said JPEG is not the best way to print. I will have to disagree, many commercial and trade printers have different RIP's making certain things like transparencies and overprints reach differently. Our RIP performs best with PDFx-a2001. Basically, if the designer doesn't know how to save a PDF, JPEG's tend to be the best alternative and as long as they? are 300 dpi @ full scale, the difference will not be noticeable. Anyways, you're smart and cute, I'll subscribe

Man, I remember being so scared of the Columbia Pictures logos when I was young. The Closet Killer Paramount logo wasn't very nice to me either, same with Walt Disney Home Video (outline Mickey is mad creepy) and Stephen J. Cannell (I hated that C.) This might have already been mentioned, but the one for The Dark Knight Returns doesn't quite look like the one he wears in the comic.? It's supposed to be much wider and blockier. Like Batman himself in the comic, i guess.

Nice tutorial, however there are some instances where it is hard to follow. For example when you use the pen tool for the first time, it seems to skip frames or something. I didn't actually see you motion your mouse for the clicks, I just saw a? line appear. And for anyone that has never used the pen tool before, that can be really confusing. Maybe your recording equipment was a little glitchy? Idk.

Seriously? I found the book incredibly accessible even though I've only had rudimentary experience with animation. As for line of action and construction, like BlightedArt said, those aren't core, unchanging principles of animation. The book does teach a handful of tricks, but it's really all about teaching you how to UNDERSTAND animation? for yourself so that you can explore the form even farther than Williams has. It's more of a "Zen of Animation" than "How to Make Cartoons!"

To this I would add that the charming illustration (coupled with her excellent tagline) is the solution most focused on customer benefits: happy pets! If you're going to do it, though, it takes an excellent photo to pull it off --- Kathy AND the pets must be photogenic, as they are here, and if they're not, it won't work. Great points on the logo design,? and I love the argument about whether or not this "business" actually needs a logo, however I'm wondering why you didn't just use the great photo as opposed to a clip-art style image. Although the final card design is nice, I personally still find it a little cheesy and non-professional. In this case, I probably wouldn't fault it because it's a small business, but I think if I saw the photo of Kathy I would find it much more instantly trustworthy.

You have a point, though I don't think he explicitly called it clip art nor said anything along the lines of "This is more what? you need rather than a custom logo." It could have been original work, as a skilled illustrator could whip something like that up very quickly (which is where that style of clip art came from, after all). The lion's share of the video seemed to be focusing on what could have been done better vis-a-vis the original logo.

Glad I could help! Basically all you will be doing is either? deleting the grey background layer all together, or just click the "eye" button right next to that layer to hide it. Then just save it as a .gif file and it will just be the circled logo with a transparent background.
