Ah yes the old avant-garde verses the bourgeois argument. Except that it never existed. Peel was playing punk records on Radio 1 straight off. TOTP couldn't get enough of Punk. Only the Pistols' God Save the Queen was banned. Which was admittedly a stupid decision as God? Save the Queen was a joke record. Nobody took it seriously. In other words Punk was allowed to rise and fall in the UK on its own artistic merits. There was almost no censorship.

The magnificent Howard Devoto....tell me why this man shouldn't be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? I'll bet the people at that Hall don't even? know who he, Magazine & Luxuria are. A real shame, because despite not selling trillions of records their influence is undeniable. Including: Teardrop Explodes (Julian Cope), Television (Tom Verlaine), Wire, Buzzcocks, Robyn Hitchcock (Softboys & Egyptians) -- they deserve the R&R Hall of Fame BEFORE any freaking rapper gets in. Give me a break.

U2 got famous because when they first started out they had a good image and wrote some catchy pop songs. I quite like their first EP Undr a Blood Red Sky. After that? they decided to put their own big heads up their own arses and turned into vain pretentious prats making shit music. Unfortunately the media did a hell of a lot to boost U2's appeal to the masses and us people with brains and good taste just have to tolerate it.

Honestly you? hear that comment going around and the band interviews do mention the Skids - but to me U2 sound nothing like the Skids. The Skids were much heavier. Maybe the Edge copped off "Of One Skin" or a few other songs but the prototype U2 sound is on the "Public Image" single and the Banshees' "Jigsaw Feeling". Echo & the Bunnymen and The Sound are similar though they barely pre-date U2. Early stuff by the Virgin Prunes and of course Joy Division probably made a mark.

I never got chancde to see Magazine on their Soap tour, I saw them in 79 on their Secondhand Daylight tour, my favourite album even though I class Soap as a Classic. In fact I would say all the first three albums are classics. I remember Bauhaus but Bella Lugosi's Dead was the only song? they were famous for but it went down well at the local Roxy style nightclubs. I chatted to Magazine after the Edinburgh gig and the earlier Glasgow gig was done only 2 weeks after forming!

I saw McGeoch in Magazine on their Secondhand Daylight tour and? with the Banhees on their Juju tour, both gigs at Manchester Apollo and McGeoch was amazing, totally blended into both bands and that's why Siouxsie had been trying her best to poach John for a long time before he eventually was given an offer he couldn't refuse. I loved his work with the Banshees and like Magazine the Banshees were lost without him

I've built publications with the front and back covers facing such as smaller publications like performance playbills. Most magazine printers I have worked with? require me to send pages saved as individual PDFs so my workflow is easier to start at the cover and end at the back page. What if you wanted different mastheads, or other elements on some of your pages but not all? That is where multiple master pages come in handy. Thanks for watching and your comment!

But the Time Magazine and Popular Science+ digital magazines for the iPad offer? pretty much the same amount of content if not better in a package size of around 60Mb - 100Mb. I'm sure the content in the Wired app could be compressed to reduce initial file size but still retain content quality. They could also look at other ways of video delivery via means of streaming (but then I guess this wouldn't bode very well with offline users)

At the moment she can't read and so hasn't ever experienced the pleasure of reading a book; she can only stab? at little icons that respond to her fingers which is much more delightful at that age.
