Iv seen? many Transformers shows, not all the eps but still. I dont see the huge deal about G1. Its a great show, the voices are solid and I personally enjoy the movie, but it was not the amazing show people on youtube made me think it was. Megatron was evil, but he was also so bland. My first Megatron was BW, now THAT was an evil guy with personality. That trend flowed nicely into Armada. This Megatron and Primes are great. Bay's Megatron...well I liked him in the first one.

well, I saw the movie in the theatre back when it was released so I was still pretty young, and as much I loved seeing the 'Cons kicking ass for once, it was the first time any? bots were actually killed. Ironhide's death was off screen and that just made it worse. He got his head blown off man! Although it did prompt one of Megatron's most memorable lines...so, guess it balances out.

Better plots yet you say they weren't? delivered well. Maybe the idea was interesting, but it's no reason to mess with established lore. If you like the Bay films, more power to you. Many more fans of the franchise would lump him in with Uwe Bolle as a terrible director though. The 86 film had real heart. It was also to bridge MTMTE with G2. No, it'd be a disasterous mess. No normal person today would go see a movie that lives in the past. The action in the? 80's movie is shit compared to the films, the emotion is debatable, the 80's dont have shit on the films, and the music? Lol, if they played the touch during a battle scene it would not only be totally off tone with the fight, but now a days, playing music like that in a movie like this would make it look like scary movie 5. If anything, it'd make less money.

Exept bay actualy gave the films better plots, orchestral score, kept prime? alive, and didnt kill every character and replaced them with forgettable characters. Grant it, the plots weren't delivered good, but the ideas about the moon, autobot-decepticon deals, the primes were better than a monster eating other planets (fantastic 4 rise of the silver surfer for example).BTW, had the touch been in the touch been in the films, it would be a cheesy mess.

Not really, "dude". If you actually read the comic, you'd see that Optimus wasn't a spiritual leader. He held some sort of rank in the military. He was more like the chief of police or some equivalent to the position on Cybertron. As far as Megatron in the second film, it's ironic because all the marketing for ROTF? stated that Megatron was now much stronger due to absorbing the Allspark. He "now had the power to destroy Prime". Chalk it up to lazy film writing.

Megatron was badass in the first movie. The second he was doing what it was supposed to do, being in the second plane.? But in the third one he looked pretty bad, only at the end he shinned a little. I would have liked to see him and Optimus Prime fight to dead as the last final scene in T3 in equality of forces due to the fact the both he and Prime were so weak. But well they made Optimus own Megatron so easily at the end. I didnt like that much. I stay with the Megatron of the first film

He wasn't at first. He was completely normal in this movie, far more competent than Megatron ever was for actually putting a laser blast in Starscream's head. However, when they find him again in the series he's basically been bathing in a pool of plasma for a? while that has done various bad things to his logic circuitry.

i couldnt agree more on the over all look of? this megatron. I saw the toy on the shelf at target right before DOTM movie came out and i immediatly knew this was megatron, bought it mainly for the fact he's not messed up looking with the creepy gimpy hand that ROTF had, and he has a fusion cannon, i was joyous to see megatron with a fusion cannon. and the alternate mode is just killer, all mad max looking but screams nemesis prime or motormaster.

Personally,? I think the Voyagers (with the exception of Sentinel and a little bit of Ironhide) were the only good toys DOTM yielded. I can't stand the thought of oversized weapons on top of the vehicle/bigger than the character's arm (with a few exceptions). I think the Prime toys fixed that a little. Weapons on the vehicles, but better than those of DOTM.

-continuing- As for why they don't use energy weapons that much in the movies? Easy, Two reasons. One, they aren't as awesome as watching? people sized bullets fly for the common person, and two, most of their energy weapons were designed for use in an totally differant atmosphere, or a total lack there of, and thus their higher end ones pose a high risk of misfire or malfunction on earth due to the enviroment. You can see some in use though in the first movie.

No worries on the writing. To answer the issue with the ship, Technically a rail gun that size would have either left the ship rocking violently, if it didn't flat out roll it over. At BEST it would have seriously moved the ship? in a negative manner. The Railguns from Eraser defy physics, as the kick even from those would have been like shot guns or high calibur guns, not to mention the distinct gout of plasma that should follow each shot. -Continued in second half reply-

I'm sure if a cruiser can fire handle firing a rail gun the size of the one they had in RoT without capsizing or rocking, then I'm sure Prime? could handle one too. Didn't they have rail guns in Eraser? Besides, they should've have rail guns, they should have the type of weapons that are described in their tech specs. The way Rail guns work is why the Cybertronians don't have them as their built in or hand weaponry. One, The friction caused by a railgun's round as it slides along the rails is so intense it creates plasma, essentially ruining the rails after a very few shots. Second, the kinetic kickback of a Rail gun, especially one sized for say, Optimus, would knock him flat on his ass if he doesn't brace for each shot. The One shown in 2 is over sized compared to the real ones in? use.

What makes no sense is that the military has a huge rail gun that takes out Devastator but the Autobots don't. For an advanced race that's been around long before Man, I'm surprised they're using projectile weapons. If they were up against robots that could melt tanks and fry armies, he couldn't use them. The military got their asses kick by Sentinel when he? joined with the decepticons. If it wasn't for Autobot technology the milittary wouldnt be able to pick up energon readings. Though I agree? with you on the most part and I'm a RiD Armada fan, this is why they didn't 1 - He has a similar energy cannon, his buster gun seen in RoTF and sadly removed in DoTM 2 - He has a faceplate, it's removable so to convey facial emotions better. Besides, it's seen in combat situations when he's going all BAMF. 3 - Can't. They;'re aiming for today's audience which means they can't use 80's songs unless they want to lose sales.
