You have already been given a glimpse of how this will? end. Greece is only the beginning. It should be interesting to see how the socialism of Italy should be paid for, when that bill comes due. I should think the whole ugly business will become obvious long before the US has to default. Germany should keep its money, and profit from its frugality. They should also prepare for the day when the US is no longer able to pay for its defense. They need to be ready for all those hungry socialists.
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 14:55:35
Socialism? The growth of government is justified by such means. Socialism? Why, to tax the income generators, not to help the poor and underpriviledged, but to maintain the rich and well connected in unearned riches. That wealthy elite is in Washington, and would not sully their hands with business matters. That is for their supplicants to engage in. They merely decide who shall be robbed more, and who shall be robbed? less. They eagerly take their bribes, all in the good name of socialism.
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 14:50:56
You misunderstand. I say socialists are liars and thieves, plain and? simple. They run the US, plain and simple, and have made a mockery of our economy - so much so that communist China, fascist as it is, can claim to have a more authentic free market than at present exists here in the US. And no, I do not think Obama is a neo-Nazi. He would have to be a nationalist as well as a socialist. No, he's just the standard Chicago-style machine politician. He's a mere functionary for smarter men.
By: wolfomea. on 09 May 12, 14:40:44
Implying socialists even have power in the US. Are you one of those people that believe Obama is an evil neo nazi communist islamic terrorist evil villain mastermind? Socialism just seems to be a scapegoating word for everything now, the use of it has become such a joke? that socialism in America has become a word without meaning now The wealthy ellite screw everyone? SOCIALISM! Bankers gamble the ecomony? IT WAS SOCIALISM! Poverty goes up while big business gets more tax cuts? SOCIALISM!!111
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 14:40:43
Our edge is that our country can survive, ostracized from the? world. We still make most of its food after all, so we shouldn't starve. The cheap, subsidized junk from Asia will stop, of course. And our allies will eventually fall and be slaughtered by their enemies, with the Jews of Israel at the top of that list. And so nations rise and fall. But I would enjoy seeing a few more parasitic Leftists get their just desserts before I pass on. They're oh so responsible for the mess we're in.
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 14:35:22
Sorry to disappoint, but the leadership of both have been in cahoots? for quite some time. Once both parties stood for basic free market principles, but now the only man mad enough to do so is Ron Paul. He's already old and withered, and will pass from the political scene soon enough. There won't be any dramatic civil war to mark our end, no more than there was for Soviet Russia. We'll just run out of money to borrow, same as Greece, while we chase away the last remnants of our industry.
By: KhanneaSuntzu. on 09 May 12, 13:34:43
I will take delight in the liberals and conservatives tearing each other to shreds in a civil war in the US. As far as I am concerned these are both just shades of far right extremist neo-darwinist, neo-liberal politics. Both artefacts of the cold war. History will move on and the? US shall be a barren wasteland of utterly confused people stuck in the past. Why don't you watch a Dmitry Orlov lecture for more clues. While you do I'll be watching RT serve me US collapse apotainment. Now... Popcorn!
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 13:16:21
No, in our country the socialists go to DC to rip us off. That and to our urban centers. Those backward hillbilly throwbacks in Alabama are being hired by? foreign auto firms that have the balls to ban unions from the workplace, and are actually helping to carry the growing debt generated by our intellectual betters. Bizarre how it works out, isn't it. Leftists are wrong on virtually everything. I guess being an elitist, thick headed limousine liberal arse doesn't turn you a genius after all.
By: KhanneaSuntzu. on 09 May 12, 11:02:24
Yah well, we in Europe have? Greece and whatever. Americans have Alabama and they will be paying for Alabama and Missouri and Louisiana trailer parks for a long time.
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 09:27:33
Ya well, socialists caused the present crisis in? Greece and look to profit from their mess, at least in the short term. And I'm entirely happy with Greece becoming a pariah state by reneging on their debt and their trade treaties. Thatcher warned the Europeans about this stupid plan, and now her predictions are coming true. Germany should bite the bullet, and not give the Greeks a damn penny. If the German banks are in trouble, let the money be used to help them directly. Screw the KKE.
By: KhanneaSuntzu. on 09 May 12, 08:10:22
Yah well,? socialism is mainstream and Europe and not regarded as "bad". Marxists and Stalinists, not sure. I am socialist inclined, and not a "Marxist" or "Communist". I think most countries can use some real socialism. I am not all that happy about ruthlessness.
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 07:02:05
You haven't been? following the politics of the KKE apparently. If the Cathars have something planned for the Greeks at present, I haven't heard of it - but feel free to enlighten me. And yes, you'd think the nasty behavior of Marxists after the end of WW II would have ended their influence in Greece forever. I agree that they're ridiculous and nasty, but they're rising in power in Greece - just as their national socialist cousins are making a comeback in Italy and France.
By: KhanneaSuntzu. on 09 May 12, 06:05:53
You know, they might actually become Cathars as well. Remember Cathars, that obscure southern france culture that was eradicated by papal armies? Just as ancient boring history as what you call "Marcist" Obscurantist almost. Why this somewhat odd invocation of Marxism? Isn't that getting "a bit old" ? Hey the Greeks? might embrace The Venus Project as well? Would be NOT Marxist, jsyt "very unconventional". In the meantime - you get over your personal demons ok? The witches are all dead too.
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 03:38:50
Go for it. Adopt an open Marxist government while you're at it. Then the rest of Europe can cut off all trade with Greece, wall them off, and let them wallow in their own debt and self pity. Then in time, with luck? some decent Greeks will rise up, form a coup, kill all their socialists and again rejoin the decent nations. I love the idea. Why not run with it.
By: KhanneaSuntzu. on 09 May 12, 03:06:02
I support the idea of the Greeks walking out? of the EU. I also support the idea of them ignoring all debts. And guess what? They should walk away from international drug treaties,or treaties on IP enforcement as well. They can now cherry pick treaties! If I were Greece I'd start the poppy production tomorrow and start a profitable market of pirates goods as well. And a few other things as well. Sod the fine sensibilities of the EU.
By: DrCruel. on 09 May 12, 01:32:57
Or just don't advance Greece any more credit until they've paid off what they've borrowed already. Likewise, kick them out of the EU until they can prove they've regained financial stability. That seems fair. What isn't fair is to make the Germans pay? for the wacky binge the Greeks have been at for the last decade.
By: KhanneaSuntzu. on 08 May 12, 05:14:22
Great. Now the policies of austerity got skinheads elected in Greece. Good luck with the draconian measures if the end result will be riots, crimes, waves of suicides, insurrection, radical politics, populism and? revolution. I know both are bad - maybe we need a third way. How about forced debt cancellation? Rich people lose some claims on society... .big deal?
By: Sterss4. on 07 May 12, 21:26:31
Its going to happen anyway and delaying it doesn't prevent it, it compounds it. So if the fear is that of? which you state, woudln't it seem reasonable to take the lesser impact that delay for a more significant impact?
