Everyone needs to realize that the federal reserve has the monetary system set up so that no one will ever be able to pay their debts. Our country trades bonds with the federal reserve in exchange for "Federal Reserve Notes" that don't increase in value, only the bonds we give them increase in value. so we forever and? always will owe? the feds more than we have. you know I have a solar powered home in the country and people are naive who think power is free? from the sun! It is a so much more costly in maintenance and back up systems for when the sun is blocked by cloud which in some parts of the world is lots. Everything needs people to move and maintain the energy and sometimes it is not the energy itself you are paying for but it appears that way - it is really the infrastrucutre around it to get it to you. My guess is that it might have something to do with that massive ball of 'fire' being further away from us in the winter (and on the other side of the world during the night) and so alternative sources of heat need to be found during these times. Do you HAVE? to pay for them? No - you could scrounge dry leaves, sticks, etc. and make yourself a fire if you had the skills. What you pay for isn't the warmth - it's the convenience.

Also, the pendulum is extremely far to the right at the moment. We're actually debating defunding the EPA and other programs meant to sustain the earth. Outrage is growing though, European citizens understand the problems with our planet, as do liberal americans. Once the public opinion of America shifts clearly to the left we will see a revitalization of conservation efforts and private sector investment in clean energy and recycling. Hopefully it will be? soon enough.

I mean, let's say with an open market purchase, the commercial banks may not be willing to sell there securities to the fed? or in case of open market sales, banks may not be willing to buy the securities, what happens then. One's spending is another incomes, if the dollar appreciated, no one would spend or invest because they would be getting a return on holding money. well. i am not entirely sold on Ron Paul. However. I am dead? set against the others. i always say that "if I needed a president then I would vote for RP". I am a big proponent of autonomy and self determination. Of being my own authority. the corps stand in the way of that concept by keeping everyone on their heels. @jerrystrang? 'Deflation' is a contraction=decrease in the money supply and available credit. The Fed has fixed the interest rates so low that there is no incentive to save. Money saved today looses it's real value ie. purchasing power when it is withdrawn in 5 years because the Fed has diluted the money supply. If the dollar is not defined by some commodity, it is nothing more than paper with numbers on it. That is why gold is near record highs.

Also, Ron Paul has? been anti Federal Reserve since before the mainstream media admitted the Federal Reserve was a private bank. By perfect voting? record I mean, Ron Paul does not vote for policies that are against the ideals of the United States Constitution. Hardly anybody else in office can say that. Elected individuals take an oath to office to uphold the Constitution, and Ron Paul is the only person who has not violated that oath. I am sorry, but I do not agree that he predicted the monetary crisis of today. He did have critism on the "Bretton Woods" system that functioned till 1970. All the currencies were connected to the dollar, which was? in turn connected to gold. This caused a big economical crisis in the seventies. You could agrue that De Gaulle predicted this, but he is not talking about nowadays because we are living in a different economical system than that he speaks of.

If we were to do that today, the US with the highest gold, over 8k tonnes of gold and a debt-to-gdp ratio of only 92.7%, would easily still be richest country? in the world by 24% compared to the next country which would be ironically Russia (due to its ultra low debt and high gold reserves) and third would be China. Either way; people know what they are getting into with a regular loan. Credit cards are another story. However in the context I'm using the term, it means codified democracy; i.e., core concerns of which the populous (overwhelmingly) agree should be handled a certain way. Celente is really pushing this "Let the People Vote" mantra. I'd just like to point out that "direct democracy" is a step in between? anarchy and a republic. A republic is best and most efficient, but only works when you have honest politicians, and a vigilante populous. A "direct democracy" is less efficient and more unstable, but can work if you have a morally chaste people. When it works, it ultimately turns into a republic, if not, if devolves into anarchy, where its every man for himself.

Inflation? doesn't need wages for inflation to happen. Infact inflation does nothing to wages, but drive it down. That's why wages have been flat adjusted for inflation for many years. Inflation doesn't improve wages at all, or is the catalyst for it.

Be careful what you wish for. What Dr. Paul says might make sense to you, but to? many people it can sound crazy. Obama could easily do something like claim Ron Paul would eventually want to eliminate OSHA (which is hopefully true) and allow companies to abuse workers and force unsafe conditions on them (of course untrue). The Fed has exhausted all of it's tricks, and it isn't working.? So the Gov has to spend massive deficits, but that isn't working either. The definition of insanity; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Government spending does not create wealth (IE: jobs, GDP growth, etc). You cannot 'spend' yourself wealthy. 'Printing money' does not create wealth. That just creates price inflation, bubble booms and then the inevitable busts.

I see what you're saying and agree. But the only real solution to all of this is to educate people on these matters and? encourage them to keep a watchful eye on how we are being governed.
