I was kid when i would listen to this song on WLS chicago in the 60's. that was the time of the vietnam war and i grew up, got married and one of my sons joined the marines, and went to iraq and we were "blue" but thank God? he came home safe

Col from Australia calling in here. If I recall it OK? .. this version by Donna was the one which was a BIG hit here in Oz, in the early 60s. Dianne's version was unknown here in Oz, basically .. altho her "Please Don't Talk To The Lifeguard" WAS a smash hit here. RE this song .. Navy Blue .. I actually prefer Donna's sound .. in this particular instance.
