I saw a performance MGMT did recently on a late night program, I think David Letterman,? and they used a bubble machine on stage. The B-52's have used one too. But to use one so early on and be so unique, and with such solidarity in a small scene is something else. Very cool and innovative band. They sort of saw the art rock, alternative and indie scene that was to come. NEU! are legends for that.

everyone who loves this should listen to Sigur Ros` white album (). It picks just? up where "75" ends. The only weird thing about is that the drums don't keep pushing forward like in this one but they try to slow it down as the high frequency-guitar lines want to break free. Neu! made the beginning but each year so much great music is reaching the surface. don't just end after finding one treasure ;)

He don`t care about labels like industriel etc. I`ve never had heart blixa saying E.N. is an industrial band. He says, that he just start to understand the beast and what E.N. is all about, himself. It seems strange to me that people? compare E.N. to Reznor. They are completely different. Nine Inch Nails signalled the death of "industrial' music, made it a metal-fusion, slicker, mainstream, acceptable. like Skinny Puppy & Rammstein. Don't seem to have much to do with "industrial" at all except as a past influence. Noise has much more in common. Good on them, they are very good I'm sure - but they are not inE.N.'s leaugue & Reznor is not in Bargeld's, originality-wise.

Whats to be confused about? Neubauten was in that time period REZNOR is in our generation now. Sure they may have started it as you put it but Reznor is a stand alone genius. There is no other artist that can? touch him in this era. Back then it was Neubauten, Throbbing Gristle, COIL, The Residents. The list goes on. Neu! are better than the Beatles. i love/hate the fact? that only five tunes are awesome. their music would still sound fresh for an opening of the galactic olympic games in 2096. can the star trek theme tune and plonk in Hallogallo. i also believe their music stopped the 1st Cold war. if Hitler realised he had this kind of talent in Germany he'd have kicked back and annexed his house rather than.... i'll get my coat...
