Sorry but that sounds crazy to me. English, like it or not, is a life skill in the modern world. You miss out on so much not understanding it. I lived 27 damn long years & luckily survived COMMUNISM in RO, my parents privately & in secret as Russian language was pretty much the only foreign language taught in RO schools sent me to some home-based unofficial english teachers, good or bad their english teaching-skills were that's what helped me tremendously to have a smoothly settlement to ENGLISH CDA after I defected RO in late? '80s, only DUMB ppl do not speak English nowadays, hopefully your kids are not one of them.
