Man achte auf? die aufwendige Kulisse, die Top-Begleitband und das Publikum, das sich wirklich, wie damals bei solchen Events üblich, absolut in Schale geworfen hatte. Man kann wirklich den Eindruck gewinnen, das die seinerzeitigen Macher den Konsumenten noch ernst nahmen. Die zwischengeschnittene Gitte ist echt cool...

Man sollte eine Zeit nicht danach beurteilen, ob es schon Moulinex, Tiefkühltruhe + Mikrowelle gab - das Essen war in der Regel ohne all das gesünder, und die Musik auch ohne elektronischen? Schnickschnack besser als heute.

Nicht so oft wie damals - da konnte frau mit 16 schon heiraten und? tat es auch. Heute wartet frau im Durchschnitt bis 27 mit dem Heiraten, und mit dem Kinderkriegen oft noch länger. Außerdem wollen 17-jährige heute nicht mehr in den Himmel, sondern überallhin ;-)

Warum ist das antiquierte Vorstellungs-Ritual vorne-weg nicht abgeschnitten worden! Die Zuhörer und Zusehen des gegenwärtigen Videos wollen doch wohl Peggy March sehen und? anhören und nicht etwa irgendeine seit x Jahren tote Ansagerin, an welche sich nur noch 3 Leute auf der Welt erinnern können. where as i did go to wigan a few times our local all nighters was east coast/east anglian soul club fron cleethorps to st ives,and peterborough,while reading the comments on here loads complain about wigan and the split with the mecca,people taking the? piss towards the end ,i enjoyedwigan whenever i got the chance to go,but my humble opinion st Ives was all about enjoying the musiic no split or nothing just brilliant allnighter,atmosphere was there.

Great vocal version of the Raymond Lefevre classic Soul Coaxing, which in itself was an instrumental cover of the original Michel Polnareff vocal entitled Ame Caline. A great sound and very evocative of the late sixties, especially for those of us who associate it with the great pirate radio stations off the coast of the UK back then.

The first time I heard this it made me extremely emotional, and yet had the element of shivers? it gave me hairs on my kneck standing up and an immediate responce to want to dance to it.(not many sounds can do that these days) records of this calibre should be the norm at northern venues not destined for the back of a deejays box in case some oldies freak wants it i'm an oldies freak and I want it played regulary at venues. its a wonderful sound and an ace in some djays hole Pat Allen Burnley

Peggy's was the first version I heard of this beautiful? song, so it remains a favorite, though I came to love the LaFevre version too. My 45 was mixed differently, and had a little more punch to it. I had the sweet pleasure of seeing Peggy perform it live a few years ago in Las Vegas. Beautiful woman, beautiful voice, beautiful song.
