"Congress shall make no law respecting ..the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances" ...this however does not? include a single word concerning cops beating, pepper spraying, tasering or in any other way physically harming protestors. Perhaps Congress should make a law restricting the police from violently abusing peaceful citizens, by making their actions illegal.

The people who rose up against the brutal dictatorship in Egypt weren't afraid any longer, so why should we be? We may be arrested, jailed, threatened, or even worse... but the conditions we deal with over here are nothing like what those brave people in Egypt and other places had to deal with. If they could persevere and achieve victory even in the face of bullets and gas, I don't see why we can't deal with our realities over here... or at least try?
