I bought mine about a month to a month and a half ago and just received it today, they had like a waiting list going. Anyway,? I bought the two-bladed razor to shave my head. The four-bladed Schick that I was using was too rough. Hopefully this will get the job done without scratching my head up like the other one. I also heard that one or two bladed razors should be preferred over the three-five bladed razors because they're too coarse and harsh on the skin.

I've shaved with a straight razor for years now. They give a much better shave than disposables. But THIS might give the cleanest, smoothest shave? possible since it is so sharp. Nice demonstration! Thomas: I purchased a Merkur Progress Long Handle DE razor and it is fantastic. Comfortable and close. It has 5+ settings, and I find that setting #1 or just below gives my sensitive skin and tough beard an exceptionally close and comfortable shave. I've also found the best blades for me are Persona Crystal Super Blades.They cut cleanly, with less resistance than other blades, and? they're comfortable to use. Thanks for the informative videos. AND he was smoking in the middle of it which I think is terrible. I tried one of those razors and nearly took the face off myself, so doing it that quick would be lethal. I'm not a fan of electric shavers, they ruin your skin, so I stick to using a proper blade inside a razor. That silver nitrate stuff in the styptic sticks to stop bleeding does sting like mad! I feel sorry for him? - he was just being polite not causing a scene.

I'm Shaving with a Pierre Thiers razor forged in France in 1885. Technique sucks; wasn't used to the camera. Music is playing while I shave, not dubbed. shot with a Canon still camera on tripod. Google removed my original soundtrack which was playing in the background. Oh well.

It glides too smooth and I wind up shaving the top layer of skin off lol; i saw on TLC or something an upclose look of what happens when you shave? with a blade; along with cutting the hair super close, you also scrape off some skin; i was getting rashes (not ingrown hairs) with brand new Gillette Fusion razor blades lol; now i get a less close cut but no red skin! ?

I got an Edwin Jagger De89lbl w/ "Derby Extra" blades. I can't get results. After 4 passes I still have stubble which is almost totally removed by my electric razor. Today by mistake I shaved with the head loose resulting in the blade being slightly lifted. I got quite the close shave! It's not ideal because the head isn't tight & flops around. Is it fine to do? this? Or modify it myself so the blade is lifted a bit? Am I risking removing skin? Would trying a different blade instead help?

just simple technique brush? more cream with warm water leave it for minute and again make good leather than use light stroke after shave use gillete moisturizer gel or any good menz facial mositurizer i use this thing and now i get almost good shave everyday prior to that i just brush cream on face and use long strokes and that just makes call of duty bloodshed all over by neck due to bumps i just use know gillete 20 cent single blade saftey razor guard else normal de blade

I'm 29 and after getting tired of? multiblade razors, did a search finding excellent reviews on a Merkur, I decided to get that with the brush and shaving soap recommened (again by amazon.) I wish I'd been able to find your channel first. I had done everything wrong from not lathering the soap enough, getting a good coating and generally being impatient with the process. Having made the mistakes, then watching these (and having the mistakes explained,) has been very helpful. Thank you.

those clippers are used on dry hair&skin and leave no irritation at all since it doesnt pull the hair off the folicle it just cut it too short that its not visible to the eye but not as close as a razor so you dont cut yourself or get post shave complications.Dont try the rotatory ones or the pulling type or you will feel sorry you had. dont ever shave that area with a razor.You need to buy a small clipper,one like the regular used for hair cut but the small version.That? way you dont cut yourself and still get a close shave aboiding ingrown hairs or shaving bumps, check Whal shavers.They are cheap batteyr or charger operated may cost 20 or 25 but you will save in the long run plus save your skin

yeah that's true man. It? DOES sting but I haven't noticed any long term damage to my skin. I haven't gotten pimples like I used to and my face isn't red anymore. The stinging is just for a bit then my face feels like a baby's ass; real smooth. I'll give Lily of The Desert a try once I finish my bottle of FOTE.

try using Fruit of The Earth Aloe Vera Gel. I'm a DE shaver and that gel? has been working real badass for me. I learned to stay away from anything with alcohol because it makes me break out (my skin is sensitive.) Although I've heard witch hazel works well too

I'm 58 and grew up shaving with a double edge blade. I just went to buy some quadruple blade cartridges and finally got fed up with the price and? ordered an Edwin Jagger razor along with the brush and shaving soap AND 100 Derby Extra razors, all this stuff was only about double what a large box of cartridges cost. I also remember how close double edge razors shaved and the best part was slipping them through the slot in the back of the medicine cabinet. Great video.

depending on where you are and what products may be available, look for Cremo-Cream, Anthony Logistics, Real Shaving Co. products. Of the? widely-available drug store products, King Of Shaves gel is pretty good. At least get something out of a squeeze tube--nothing out of a pressurized can!

I think a little alcohol such as in Witch Hazel is good at least for me. Ive been doing some tinkering with different after shaves. Seems to me that the ones that contain a small amount of alcohol seems to calm my face quicker. Now im not speaking of just ol regular? after shave that is 50% alcohol but say the 10% that is in Thayers/Humphries.

WOW WOW, and Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!, I started watching your? videos last week, and studied them fofr 4 nights straight until I figured out what I needed to get into this kind of shaving, and how to do it. TODAY, I got all my stuff in from West Coast, put my merkur progress on "2", wet face and lathered up with some prorasco. I do admit I had to make several passes, and it was about a 15-20 min. shave as learning, BUT MAN... I have not had a face so smoothe since I was 12,.
