thanks for this great review. I will definitely get this kit. Just waiting for the deluxe version (i think) wherein there's a japanese weapon stand and a cool samurai thingy background. This kit would definitely look cool beside (or stand alone) my red frame in my? shelf. Just love gundam with swords. :P Keep those reviews coming.

No. Sheathing a sword sharp-edge down dulls the blade. And samurai have multiple styles that will allow them to slash upon unsheathing a sword; it's not always an upward slashing motion. Some unsheathe their sword sideways; others unsheathe upward ans slashing down? others grip the sword back-hand and slash upward, then turn the sword right-side-up again.

The normal Shin Musha does not come? with gold plated parts. But the Sengoku No Jin version does come with gold plated parts. It also comes with a fancy display base and it costs more.

It is kinda hard to keep the "musket" gun in place, but I like to pose my Musha Gundam with the? Trident and gun in both hands. Have you ever heard of the "Bakuhamaru" character from the SD Gundam Force anime? (Basically a Musha version of the Master Gundam from the G Gundam anime) I'm actually hoping that they release that as a full-fledged mobile suit model...

A lot of people have already probably said this, but... The sword is mounted upside down.? The dull side of the blade is supposed to face down. Samurai do this so the sharp edge won't scrape the sheath from the inside and cause the blade to dull.

that's because this particular suit (and? MK2) operates itself. So no need for a pilot and even with a pilot there's no specific one that "owns" the suit so it would be hard to include one even if they wanted to.

I don't think I spray painted the whole frame since majority? of it was going to get covered up. I normally do a light layer and not use primer since Rustoleum bonds pretty well with the plastic.

Wow, you painted the inner frame a gunmetal color as well? May? I ask how you were able to paint the leg sections? Because I topcoated them before after painting the pistons silver and I found them to become so tight after painting that the piston housings dislodged when I bent them at the knees! And I've neve been able to fix them, so I replaced the leg parts with the ones from my One Year War RX-78.

no way, Samurai never EVER used guns because they thought the use of firearms to be dishonorable. The only ranged weapons the samurai used was the Yumi and that was because there was a ritual to fire an arrow everytime! There was only one samurai who never closely followed the code of Bushido and that was Miyamoto Musashi, but he never used guns either.

it depends how much? work you wanna put in it. the 1/144 is easier to build and more to color since its not really accurate and less articulation the 1/100 has more articulation and a little more accurate color but you can color it anyway you want i saw a video were a guy painted his a jade green which is SIC!

The Musha/Shin Musha's shoulder armor is actually supposed to latch onto the basic RX-78 shoulder armor; if you take a look inside the Shin Musha's armor you'll see that it does indeed latch onto the shoulder armor, and there's a little tiny peg that goes into the RX-78's shoulder "vent" for lack of a better term. I'm guessing the articulation just makes it a little easier to? attach the Shin Musha armor onto it.

I might be wrong but the shoulder on My Rx-78 Fix Figuration as an Identical Shoulder and that part Doesnt move, so if you dont see any use for that Articulation you can always super glue it. I had to glue some parts of my GFF and in the arms articulation I had to stif up the joint so it wouldnt fall of all the time. the figures aren't perfect you must do you little fixes if you want perfection =)?

Funny thing. You won't find a left handed samurai. They are all right handed.? that's the way they are trained and the only way that fits their fighting style. They can do however dual wield katana's. But still right is the dominant side. (imo the way the katana is stored on shin musha is indeed wrong) ^_^

Both versions are nice but for shin Musharraf is the win cuz Musha looks a bit too square and polygonish while? shin musha is more of a free sculpt, it's not as angular and stuff However combining the two armies onto the frame would be the real win

buy this kit here: gundamcentral.weebly .com this is the deluxe version of the master grade kit. Comes with a japanese style stand with nice drawings and weapon display. Even though it is a tt hongli kit, the quality is amazing, and definitely worth the money whether you buy the original bandai or the tt hongli
