These are some really good videos. The only part I question is where he says to put your right foot on a dot below your nose. I was always taught to "replace" your left foot's position with your right foot. And, watching the video where he makes a bunch of throws to second, that's exactly what he does, too.? So, he's not practicing what he's preaching with the placement of the right foot. I would go with do what he does and not what he says on this one.

i find that? if i ignore the fact that there is a right handed batter and just go from the catchers position and throw right down to third it works. not saying push the batter out of the way, just receive the pitch, make one step with your left foot straight to third base and throw it over the top. good videos

Please, I'm not trying to be critical but there is so much more to be installed in this drill. Having the girls achieve the level of success is primary and it was achieved. As mentioned in earlier comments: The extension to the drill is to use the correct foot to receive in the direction you are looking to pass? to. i.e control right (foot facing next pass) - kick left. etc. Best dill ever though and evident in most game play.

The reason it is better to learn to throw hard before accuracy is simple. Yes it is important to throw accurate but the minute you get accurate and try to speed it up you will then loose accuracy because of the change of arm speed, the? strength of leg drive both will change the timing of the release point, resulting in throwing balls over your catcher's head. With the proper mechanics of throwing hard first your muscle memory will kick in to find the release point.

I'm a college pitcher. Speed comes first. What good is being able to control the ball if it's batting practice speed? Throw me a nice fifty five mile an hour fastball and I'll send it to left field. Thats actually the rig I was looking at, thanks for the confirmation. The pistol holster conversion in the front looks practical but dont like that you would flag your leg when sitting, mite move that. Thanks for the dry fire tips, I? was blessed to have one of your ex Army brothers teach me practical firearms and these are staples of my practice with the handgun. I'm gonna use your advice on the rifle/chest rig for sure. Thanks again for the help, its much appreciated.

I would look at the "SKD Universal" rig. I generally think 3-6 spare mags are enough? for the average guy. Glad you like the video, and glad you are still training even though cost/time makes it hard. Also spend some time quickly getting into various unusual shooting positions... and change mags from your rig once you get it.

Another great video, I probably spend more time dry firing now then at the range cause of time and funds. Getting a AR15 platform and havent drilled on one in about a year so the? basic manipulation is pretty rusty, these drills should iron em out. On a side note, any tips/suggestions when buying a chest rig? Been looking at plate carriers with pouches but they look like they take a while to get on and off plus dont carry that many mags. looking for a grab and go type with 8-10 mag capacity.

A pretty hard question to answer in this small of an area without pictures and hands on. Mostly when using irons I concentrate on centering the front post in the center of the rear, then putting it on the center mass of the target. I use the small aperture rear most of the time. Most of the real AR tack driving is done with optics or national match irons (different from? the standard).

I have one question regarding iron sights, I have seen many different opinions about sight alignment. I know this is a very critical part of hitting what? you are aiming at. Do you have any rules of thumb for proper sight alignment. I shoot a lot of rimfire, and the alignment is fairly easy to figure out. AR sights seem to be designed to hit a larger target, but with the proper ammo these can be tackdrivers.
