@gpopp008 a Phenom II x4 would likely bottleneck the SLI configuration in most gaming scenarios. It all depends on what games you're playing, what resolution, and what framerates you're looking for. In? my own personal experience, I've noticed that a 965, and 560 non-ti work the latest and greatest right along side any enthusiast grade platform if they're both running 1080p or below. SLI'ing 560 ti's wouldn't be necessarily contributing to graphics fidelity for most games.

Would two gtx560 ti's bottleneck an AMD Phenom II 965? quad core black edition?
By: i7like7iced7dog. on 19 May 12, 13:32:23
in which case i would play it safe and get a 5770, because anyway? the 6770 will be bottlenecked to a 5770 performance anyway, so got for a second 5770 and keep it simple, or upgrade the your original GPU to a 6870 or higher, so that u can crossfire that, when u want to, otherwise u will be stuck trying to play the latest games with a GPU system that has nothing special,
By: gitaar300. on 19 May 12, 12:02:12
they both? have the gpu chip 'RV850' and they can CF, because I have an 5770 and I have a Crossfire bridge and pug
By: i7like7iced7dog. on 18 May 12, 23:37:29
if they have the same chipset then "theoretically" they should work. from what i have seen, i dont even think that the 6770 or 5770 are even Crossfire available, the do not have an Crossfire pug for a bridge, so no they wont? work. try a HD 6870, so that crossfire is an option. hope this helped :)
By: gitaar300. on 18 May 12, 22:06:26
so what you're saying is that if it? has the same chipset, it'll work. for example AMD/ATI Radeon HD 5770 and 6770 in theory should work because they have the same chipset and the exact same specs

This video was made in 2010, if you've seen his more recent vids, he has waaaaaay? better stuff.
By: TheShivenPatel. on 17 May 12, 01:31:50
You need? add more RAM, a better CPU, and probably a new, bigger hard drive.
By: RuiCarinhoso. on 17 May 12, 01:17:44
What is the big deal to have 2 cards if for example? you are running a game that needs a better gpu? If only you could have a second card to "upgrade" your system. I know the 2 are better them one but... isnt better to buy a better graphic card insted os 2 inferior?

By: MrHav1k. on 12 May 12, 00:00:24
I don't like SLI/CF, they don't scale well. You only need it if you're running 3 monitors at 1080p or? something like that.
By: Arwokid. on 10 May 12, 22:16:37
he didnt mention the more complicated exception................ if the card is REBRANDED, u can sli/xfire. (eg 9800gt + 8800gt with g92 core, 5770 + 6770). heck, if it's amd u? can even crossfire the same series sites.amd.com/PublishingImages/Public/Graphic_Illustrations/WebBannerJPEG/AMD_CrossfireX_Chart_1618W.jpg

What is bottlenecking your GPU is the CPU, RAM and YOU?
By: JOMjmJOMjm1. on 09 May 12, 15:39:06
Hello this video was uploaded last 2010 so if your telling him to upgrade to those parts? at that date maybe your nuts.....
By: BleedInSixColors. on 06 May 12, 10:39:55
honestly? take out your video card? and bin the rest. If you want to play MW3, Skyrim or BF3 then you definitely need an i5. Id go with sandy bridge if it was me, and maybe a z68x-ud3h-b3 motherboard, the memory swell is shocking, you will need at least 4GB of DDR3 memory, but you should probably go for 8GB of Corsair Vengence1600MHz RAM. Oh and the hard drive.. You can get a 7200RPM, 320gb HDD for like £30, you definitely need a speed upgrade.
By: BleedInSixColors. on 06 May 12, 10:35:55
5:05 yeah? i guess your right.. ;)
By: MrKyle080906. on 05 May 12, 21:44:04
yeah your CPU is holding back your graphics cards performance, i would say your ram is too as its DDR2 rather than the latest which is DDR3, uprgading that would probably require you to get a new motherboard, but thats kinda good because that means you can upgrade to a more modern CPU socket...whats your? budget?
By: Helge129. on 04 May 12, 11:19:13
IIRC only the GPU itself has to be identical. I don't know for sure however. I think that if you have? 2 cards in SLI with different VRAM, the one with more will simply run better on higher resolutions. So if you have 3 screens and 2 cards in SLI, connect 2 screens to the one with more RAM. But again, I'm not 100% sure.
