Kelsie, if you are sliding directly on your hip then you may be a little off balance! Not a problem though, just be careful when you're going from full speed into a slide and dragging that hand; even if you're trying to hold yourself up, that intense pressure on your wrist can cause an injury if you jam it or place it down the the wrong way. Also, most? fielders are taught to catch and bring the tag DOWN, not reach at eye level for your hands. Hope this helps!
