I have used this knot on thousands of fishhooks over the years going back to the mid-90s. It has never failed me. It's also much, much easier to tie than a standard snell knot with a loop. If the end is causing the knot to? come unraveled, it means you're leaving the tag end too long. The only thing I would add is make sure you start your wraps so the line goes over the solid part of the eye. That prevents the blunt end of the hook from digging into the line.

You need to ensure the snood only just passes through the? eye twice, some hooks have eyes that are too big or fishermen use traces to light for this knot to work. Personally, I have tied over a million of these hooks and have not had slippage. The commercial fishermen in New Zealand all use this knot for snapper fishing without problems. Tens of millions of hooks! No problems

This is not the correct way to snell a hook. the end part is what is causing the pull outs. instead of going through once then wrapping, you need to go? through the eye twice in different directions making a loop next to the shaft. use this loop to wrap the shank and 2 pieces of line with coils, then pull standing end snug, followed by pulling tag end and standing end in seperate directions until tight. then you will have a %100 strength knot.

Thanks, I'm going to try? this one out. I learned a different technique and I've noticed that it tends to slip under heavy load. Perhaps it is my leader is too big, not sure. I generally use 25lb mono as my leader line for catfishing.

HEY PAUL Mate thanks a lot for that very usefull instruction, ive had a few people tried to teach me that snell knot and ive looked at a few other? sights but for me personaly their way was very complex and i just couldnt replicate it but your way makes perfect sense and i got it first time, for me knots are always a little more difficult because being a left hander im right brained so its always the opposite way but youve just made it very easy for me so Thanks my Kiwi comrade.

Were you reading a fishing book a hundred years old? I haven't even seen eyeless hooks for sale in the tackle shops in my lifetime & I have been fishing for 45 years. What you see in this video IS a Snell knot by modern definition & all pre-tied Snelled leaders are tied with this knot. Eyed hooks? were invented to replace eyeless hooks a lifetime ago. The knot changed because all the hooks did. Most things today don't even remotely those from a century ago except in name.

Thank you! But I have one question. In the second example another formula I am familiar with to find refractive index is sin i/sin r = n . Isn't the angle of incidence? 30° and the angle of refraction is 40°? Therefore the refractive index of the unknown medium = sin 30°/sin 40° = 0.78?

at 11:06, the simplest thing to do, is notice each factor has a "C" in it so factor it out and cancel it. And also to notice that (1/x) / (b) = 1/ (x*b), so clearly 1/(n2*sinx2) = 1/(n1*sinx1), which taking the inverse of both sides leaves the result at 12:32. True Brandon. If you are? in heavy current and there is alot of trash floating by, it can be an issue. I have used it with great success in mild current and on lakes. On the river, most of the time I am using it to double hook a very large bait. In lakes, I like to float it under a bobber and use cutbait on the top hook and live on the bottom hook.

He has some sick handles. Snell is gonna be a terror in the MWC. He and Alex Kirk coming in to the Lobo fold next year should be a great thing for the New Mexico program. As good as they're going right now (10-0 ater recently knocking off #16 Texas A&M in A&M's backyard) Snell and Kirk should add to a very bright future in Albuquerque. They've got a young team with only 1 starter being a senior so UNM should be in the MWC mix every year for a while. Good? luck, Lobos!

Back in the eighties I was a huge 'fan' of his music. The last couple of years I sort of lost track of him. Thanks to you tube I rediscovered Adrian. I really love this song, it discribes the bond we have with family, friends and brothers/sisters in Christ. Heaven will be heaven first because He, our Lord and Saviour will be there and secondly because of the loved? ones being there right beside us. Lord save ALL our loved ones we pray!!!

The cover is good,? but it kinda fails in the way that the music doesn't reflect the lyrics (or maybe the other way around). The lyrics should serve the music to get its message forward. If it's a message of rage and/or anger, then you put in some anger-inducing lyrics for everything to sound stronger. While a chill-outish version of a song intended to cause rage and anger is original; it doesn't really sound like should.

I'm a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan. Hearing someone cover one of their songs? pisses me off, because they are usually horrible. But this is beautiful. Nothing like the original but I think that's why it works so well. This version strikes an entirely different emotion than the original, in the best way possible.

The? Smashing Pumpkins are my all time favorite band. With that being said, this rendition of BWBW is excellent. I don't like covers that are basically the same versions of the originals. This cover brings different emotions that the original didn't. Which makes it, in my opinion, a great cover. Not to mention how incredibly fine she is!
