@bdaniel230 yes the canadian was using a MacMillan TAC-50. its a bolt action gun so its waaay more accurate than a semi-auto like the barrett M82a1 the world record for accuracy is set from the CheyTac Intervention M200 LRRS - a 3 hit group from 9 inch at a distance of 2565 yards!!! and @XHitmanPRx NO ..the barrett is truly not the best sniper rifle ever? made :)..there is no "best Sniper Rifle" cause every mission is different and needs different capabilities

Does your weapon have a floating barrel? What kind of weapon are you using? Lots of variables! Remington 700 series, 3 shots? followed back to back, you'll need to let it cool for a period according to Cal. Cold bore is never same after 3-4 rounds. Hope that answered your question. Blue Skies!

I realized I came off as a dick in the last comment. I assumed you were a CoDfag. I actually agree with you on the Sniper missions, I forgot about those. Modern Warfare 2 in particular, I felt like that one did it well. I replayed? the Spec Ops missions several times. Maybe not, but those missions were the closest I've felt in a game to real life. Rather than run around shooting it was 95% waiting and hiding (where the tension is). It was a nice touch having a guide teaching you? how to behave and working as partners. I really wanted this game to expand on this but sadly Sniper Ghost Warrior felt like another console cop out.

I don't think any video game developer knows how to make a legit sniper game. Someone should make one using actual sniping technique, procedure, and ballistic science. The beginning of the game should have a training course explaining wind, movement, navigation (have a map that you have to read and understand), and how to understand? the difference in distance and how to judge it and make compensations regarding the point of contact with scope and aiming.

Well actually, there are controllers shaped like guns that can give you force feedback and have precise aiming with realistic gun sounds (not like the shitty ones you get from cheap plastic toys). They? add to the realism, so the game provides the sense of firing a gun, and the controller adds to the feeling of firing a gun. I think they use the same design as steering wheel controllers such as the g27. So if you have the controller it adds to the feeling of firing a gun, but that's up to you.
