This dispatcher gets into a 'who's who' debate instead of trying to get all of the "Ws". If she couldn't make clear the 'who', he needed to know the 'where' and 'what' as? fast as possible. Without knowing how the actual police investigation is going, she thinks they should have taken their? shot and charged this guy on the basis of alledged statements from the boys and zero physical evidence. Was that statement procured by a psychiatric professional or was it planted by the grandparents because if it came from a psychiatric professional it's evidence but if it came from the grandparents it's hearsay.. I'm betting on the grand parents based solely on the fact that nobody is capable of forming true memories of anything until they're at least 4 years? old and this "new info" came from the 3 year old which means it was planted by a person or persons with ulterior motives.

The other thing Nancy has run with is this thing about how Josh was pushed to the edge now that his boys are getting old enough to? talk about, and confront, Josh. The thing about the trunk came about the summer after Susan went missing. It was not recent. The younger son drew the picture and said his mom was in the trunk. He was 3 at the time. And he had probably been asked countless times about where his mom was and if she went camping or not etc. It could have easily been planted in his mind.

Nancy is wrong on several counts. If he wanted to kill his? boys he could have done it at a Burger King. He put a lot of time and energy into thinking through how to do it and it would be just as easy to kill them at a neutral location. Also, if there was any evidence of domestic abuse then they would have been able to enforce the neutral location. Obviously they have no evidence he killed Susan so there is no evidence of domestic abuse.

The answer to your question is because she didn;t leave on her own free will and was probably killed in the house, taken out and was placed somewhere within the state of Utah or within any other state that borders Utah. The police did all that? they could, but without some evidence all they can do is follow tips and try and put a case together based on what they know.
