I've found that Ford's vehicles never need "mechanical" work. Their engines, transmissions and rear ends are solid, but then again, I actually do my own maintenance and know how to properly care for a vehicle. I've driven the Focus, Explorers from different years, several F-150's (went from a single cab 4x4 F-150 to supercrew 4x4 F-150) and I traded the truck in on a? 2012 5.0 and i've never had a mechanical issue with any of them. -_-

If this GT has around 1,800 hp-2,000 hp or so, which is what i'm guessing it has, a Veyron would need well over 2,000 hp to match or surpass this, and who would modify a Veyron, and to such an extent? I could see someone modifying a Koenigsegg for some reason, or a Lambo as we've seen, maybe a Ferrari 458 or one of those insane mercs / mcmercs to? compete here but I doubt a Veyron will.

The reality is enough money will buy anything and speed is something you can buy. Will anyone ever do that? I know that, the original question was why it looked so easy to achieve this speed? over a mile, but a Veyron which costs the earth cannot even do it, my reply was simply that the Veyron is stock so if it was tuned to this extent it would be even faster, I think a stock Veyron does the mile with about 212mph, so by tuning it wouldnt be so far out to be able to be faster than this. BTW I am not a "Veyron fan boy" as has been suggested, just stating the facts, cheers
